Here's what other people are saying about Alba...
I used my sample of this this morning. My Mom, who is sitting on the couch next to me, just asked what I was wearing. She said I smell so good. It's probably a little bit nicer than Coty Vanilla Musk, which is what it reminds me of most, but not $265 worth better.

At first I wasn't that impressed, but as it wore it became this wonderful soft vanilla and iris that I simply needed to own a bottle of. I am not a huge iris lover necessarily, but this was one I could not pass up. Profumum Roma also does not irritate my sinuses or cause me to cough or even have asthma like many perfumes do nowadays. back to the scent--it's lightly floral, maybe a bit of white/clean musk, a bit powdery. Lady-like and cuddly. I see this as a winter fragrance, for the most part.

This is a lovely soft scent that feels like a warm hug when worn. It is creamy vanilla and almond, with a dry down of something green with a sandalwood base. Sillage moderate but longevity all day. Worth every penny. I love the Profumum line!

If you're looking for a scent that's cerebral, adventurous, or hyper-sexy, Alba is none of these things. Alba just smells really good, nothing more. But that's enough. It's expensive, to be sure. But in addition to being a gorgeous fragrance, it's nicely packaged, including a small roll-on bottle and an aluminum funnel.

Oh my, Alba is lovely. Don't be fooled by the top notes. You have to give Alba about 30 minutes to dry down, and then it turns into creamy almonds, faintly powdery, but not too much. I don't get much of a woods note. I had to have a full bottle of this one. I actually miss it when I'm not wearing it. This is a subtle fragrance, not strong at all, but long-lasting. The very first day I wore it, 5-6 hours after applying, I got two compliments on how good I smelled. Luckyscent has it right when they describe it as cozy.

I agree with all of the positive comments...this is a beautiful creamy and delicious scent. Like sleeping on a cloud and dreaming of tea cake in the afternoon...wish it wasn't so pricey, or, a smaller bottle available!

It's a stunner of a classic. For those who want sophistication and classic but really don't like sophisticated, classic type scents: Stop here. You've found the answer. And feminine? Oh yes.

Sweet, creamy sandalwood/amber. Smells completely natural and like the ingredients are top notch. Sillage is noticeable but not obnoxious. If this is the type of scent you're looking for, you probably couldn't do better. I just find it a bit sweet and one dimensional for my tastes. Would probably be nice on a man or a woman. Long lasting.

5 stars for Alba. Woody delicate aroma- ,ski like in tone which gives the impression it has disappeared when actually it's become creamy and melted into your skin somehow. I find this scent fascinating . Layers extremely well with Nivea cream- either Nivea Soft or Nivea in the blue tin. This is seriously good jus - just subtle .

ok so this is my 3rd comment for this perfume but I just have to say that now that this scent has been on me for a couple of hours I think it is divine!!1 Simply fabulous and scrumptious!!!! The dry down is excellent!!! It's definitely worth the 30 mins or so wait until it calms itself down. I am now considering buying it cause I love it so much! Has good sillage and good staying power too. Don't let the initial harsh top notes fool you or put you off like they had done with me. Wait for the beauty to show up.

I thought this scent would be dynamite as I read the ingredients. I was so excited to get my sample. The first time I put this is I was soooo disappointed! It has that "rich older lady from ny" smell to it that really turned me off. I'm 30 so I didn't want to smell like a 50 or 60 something upper class woman. So it stays this way for a good 30 mins. I ended up washing it off cause I couldn't deal with it's intensity. It was a sure NO for me until a couple of days later I decided to retry it cause I did buy the sample so might as well give it another go just to be sure. I've discovered that after the first 30 mins go by that bad upper class 50 something smell quiets down and turns into a softer, smoother, slightly sweet-woody scent that is actually quit pleasing. I ended up actually liking the dry down but won't buy due to the yucky top notes which last too long for me to suffer through. This is definitely good quality perfume, last long, good sillage. But try a sample first to be sure it works with your personal chemistry.

Initially, I got old lady wearing old playdough scrubber, but by the time I was in a position to wash it off it changed and started to smell absolutely divine. I don't know what to make of this one, the drydown is so gorgeous but the initial blast is so...obnoxious!

This is a beautiful and subtle scent. Dry, warm, a bit powdery in a very crisp, clean way. The drydown reminds me of linen sheets taken out of a heirloom wood cabinet. And the staying power is amazing!

The woods, sandalwood, and amber are blended seamlessly. This is an allurining sexy scent, but comforting at the same time. My favorite in the Profumum line!!

I love almost all of the Profumum scents, and I was so looking forward to trying this one based on the reviews. Ironically, however, this is one of my least favorite of their line. Very powdery and kind of generically girly-smelling -- like a "sensual" scent from Estee Lauder or Fendi or something. Great staying power, as with all of the scents in this line. I'll stick with Ichnusa, though, which I find to be a much more unusual and lovely scent!

I really loved this fragrance at first whiff...unfortunatley the drydown turned way too powdery on me. But if powdery is your "thing" is perfect!

Girls, Alba is a "Guy Magnet." Be prepared to have guys fighting to get close to you...No Lie. It's magical! I'm told I smell DELICIOUS. My husband gets a bit jealous when this occurs but he admits he can't blame the guys b/c I smell like a walking dream. BTW, our marriage has improved 100%. ;D Only my sister knows about "Alba." This is MY secret & I don't want others to smell like me. When other girls ask me what I'm wearing I tell them my Aunt from Itraly sends it to me & I don't know the name. Sorry, girls...NOT! ::evil grin::

Smooth, seductive but not over-the-top. Gentle but compelling. A perfect balance. Very feminine
