Here's what other people are saying about Rose Pivoine...
Haha on kindergarten teacher! Though I'd give that honor to Violette in Love from PdN. This to me is more classical piano teacher. It's fruity initially, almost watery. I don't get berries as much as unripe pear or melon rinds. It's rosy with peony accents, slightly green and soapy. Smells a bit old-fashioned, prim. It's classically pretty. Nice for when you want to just smell clean and not terribly obtrusive.

Totally agree with Katie below, "This smells like a kindergarten teacher should smell". It's a pretty, classic rose with a nice hit of pink pepper-like florals. Reminds me of my grandma and of junior high (the fun parts).

"This smells like a kindergarten teacher should smell" another reviewer said it better than I could! This is a very very nice red berry-rose scent. Yummy and nostalgic, it took me back and forth between spending time with my grandma as a tiny and being in junior high, two times when I was looking around, figuring out, trying on what it means to be feminine. (despite all this??) It's a happy smell.

This smells like a kindergarten teacher should smell---sweet, flowery and sunny. A porch lemonade party with rocking chairs in the spring. Pale blue tablecloth, sliced lemons in an icy pitcher and a bed of blossoming roses, peonies This would be a nice scent to take on vacation or even a casual business trip because it's light, fruity, flowery and not headache-making. This would be delicious in a hand cream and soap, tucked in your luggage??

This is a beautiful perfume. I ordered 7 different peony scents and this one is my favourite of the bunch. It has a juicy and sweet fruit top note, a light peony scent with a soft musk. It is very light and feminine, perfect for spring and summer.

This was very disappointing. I love roses and geranium so this seemed perfect, but as soon as I applied it I knew it would not work. I got a very green, juicy, sweet and sour smell that reminded me a lot of the cucumber-y Origins Calyx from the 90's a friend wore. I get this from fruit notes so I looked on PdN' s website and sure enough, they list red fruits as the top note. So, if your chemistry does not like berries this probably won't work for you either. I never smelled any rose or geranium. It might dry down to something nice but the start was so yucky I had to scrub. Fortunately it came right off with some African black soap.

Decided to try out a few peony scents. I bought samples of this one and Penhaligons Peoneve. I liked Peoneve better. It smelled a little more complex. It has a green note to it that Rose Pivoine is missing. All I get from Rose Pivoine is flowers, no other notes. Extremely girly.

Beautiful true rose with hint of whatever else is growing in a beautiful garden, in this case peony. Long lasting. Will buy full bottle.

Fruity, peppery, juicy rose. This is rather girly, kind of flouncy...there's a sweetness that limits it to spring and summertime, but I appreciate things that have a time and a place and this one definitely does. I definitely like it a lot, and at this price point it makes sense to just buy it.
