Here's what other people are saying about Sweet Oriental Dream...
This is extremely sweet rose. Unfortunately, the intensity of the rose combined with the intense sweetness is just too overwhelming to me. It is of very high quality, and has a pleasant powdered sugar quality to it (maybe the almond?). It’s just too intensely sweet.

A ssmaple of this won me over and I have recently purchased a full bottle. The scent is wonder-sweet and exotic...I love Arabic scents, oud, honey, and amber....This was a sweeter alternative to Killian Love (which is my favorite btw) and very close to an old D.S. and Durga scent I purchased years ago at Anthropologie which I have never found again but men LOVED it....Don't be too liberal with this scent--a tiny bit goes a long way...I recommend one spray to the chest under your shirt and keep it to that. The scent is delicious and yes it is a bit powdery which I can handle as it also has a subtle tartness underneath just like candy. Try a sample first but if you like interesting and exotic you might really love this.

Having tried Sweet Oriental Dream years ago, I don't know if I can justify this review. I'm not convinced this is a loukhoum-smelling fragrance. It's pretty, last I remember, but insubstantial. Then again, I wasn't keen on Keiko Mecheri either. Serge Lutens Rahat Loukhoum is the worst offender. This loukhoum idea makes no sense to me unless I'm eating it. *1 powder sugar covered star with a dash of rose water and almond pressed in its center*

This is a very powdery, rich gourmand. I can smell all the notes that people pick out - turkish delight, almond, sugary vanilla, and beneath it, has incredible staying power and sillage. I'm giving it four stars because it's exactly what it's supposed to be, it does smell good (there's no chemical "Yankee Candle" smell to it which is my quibble with cheap gourmands) - you can tell it's expensive and extremely high quality, it's just not to my taste, unfortunately.

Years ago, I Ioved this for what it was--sweet, vanilla, almonds and a hint of rose. Either they reformulated it, or my skin chemistry changed. Either is possible, but what is not possible is me, buying this. It now smells chemical and overblown. Sigh. I was hoping . . .

After this dried down on me, I got almonds and roses. This one is next order on my list! Different and good on my skin. I have read some of the reviews that thought it was awful but people should know that all perfumes smell a little different on different people. That is exactly why the samples are so helpful!

This is just wonderful! Perfect for someone who loves the scent of amaretto! Sweet powdery honeyed amaretto with just the slightest hint of rosewater . A lovely confection! Excellent sillage and it lasts. I will be wearing this a lot!

I love the Loukhoum fragrances and own both Loukhoum Parfum Du Soir and this. After owning both for several weeks and alternating the the 2, I've finally decided that Sweet Oriental Dream is my favorite of the 2 and is probably closer to the original Loukhoum then the Parfum Du Soir version. This perfume is gorgeous, delicious (well I don't literally ingest it, but it almost makes you hungry for some elaborate dessert) and addictive, in my opinion one of the truly great and different scents out there.

playdoh. I can recognize the almonds and vanilla and there's a rose hiding somewhere in the back, but overwhelmingly....playdoh. very sad, I wanted to like this. it's very sweet, too. sugary playdoh.

Sweet Oriental Dream? Rank Oriental Nightmare is a more apt name, if you ask me. First, it's INCREDIBLY potent, and I detest super strong perfumes. I put the most miniscule drop possible on ONE wrist, and it stank up my whole body (and car interior) for a good long while. Even if you happen to like your fragrances to pack such a major punch, I advise you bypass sampling this one, unless you'd also relish the smell of old lady's face powder mixed with musty heavy-handed musk, and a dollop of skunk spray. Really, if I ever I had the misfortune to be stuck in an elevator with a woman rude enough to inflict this perfume on the noses of others, I'd have to knock her unconscious and cover her with my coat, just to avoid having to deal with this odor. It gave me an instant headache and made my nose run, to boot. Awful.

Such a gorgeous perfume, very similar to Loukhoum by Keiko Mecheri. I smell more honey here though and maybe a little bit less powder. It's definitely gourmand--you must love sugar and sweets to enjoy this.

Save your money!! After giving this perfume a glowing 5 stars several years ago. It has alas been reformulated or the concentration changed to lower perfume levels.Sad they increased the price and give you less perfume. It is no longer my favorite thing. This watered down concoction, has now about a 6 hour life, the sweet Turkish delight factor very weak lasting about 2 hours. Save your money, buy something else, I will!!!!

This is a deliciously edible scent, with fantastic sillage & longevity; it lasted seventeen hours on me, which is a record! l tried Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum Parfum du Soir, & l agree that this one is less powdery & more rose-prominent than the KM. l get vanilla, almonds, a jammy rose & a touch of smoke, & a gorgeous tonka note in the base. l find it very soothing, almost soporific, & l think it would make a perfect sleep scent. Exotic & lovely!

Smells like sweet baby powder. I don't like baby powder scents, but this one I was tempted to wear, except everyone else didn't like it.

I did not like this stuff at all. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but I smell nothing but baby powder. I'd prefer not to smell like a baby's butt so this does not appeal to me. The first fragrance from Lucky Scent that I absolutely hated!

This is the strongest, sweetest and most lasting perfume ever - also much sillage. One drop or spray on a tissue or handkerchief, then rubbing the tissue on your pulse points should be more than enough. This is spicy but very, very sweet...I get a lot of honey & sugar from it, so forget it unless you love gourmands. It's a bargain because one bottle should last for months! I give it 5 stars for gourmand fans, but might be 3-4 stars for anyone who is shy of intense perfume.

Sweet and delicious, soft yet strong. Very baby-powdery on me when it dries down. I wore this as my signature fragrance for a while and got many questions and compliments. It has incredible staying power. If you want something that will cling to people when you hug them and remind them of you all day/night long, this is the one.

ok now this is what I call a wonderful gourmand!!!!!! It is sooooo much better than Keiko Mecheri's Loukoum. KM's Loukoum is WAY too powdery on me where this is just a touch powdery and very delicious. It's long lasting, the sillage is great, and although it's very sweet, it doesn't overpower or create headaches due to it's sweetness. It takes me away to a dreamlike state when I smell my arm. It has just the right amount of loukoum ingredients all blended perfectly together to create a truly beautiful and memorable perfume. Definitely worth trying the sample if you are curious about this scent. But only try it if you like gourmand or sweet scents otherwise this probably won't be your type of thing.

This is one of the nicest fragrances I have ever smelt! Opened my sample and had a whiff and then I ordered a big bottle of this amazing juice straight away. Sillage is fantastic and it lasted on my thristy skin for 12 hours plus.. you wont be disappointed
