Strangely enough, I actually find this scent light, powdery, wearable, and pretty. Based on the reviews, I did not think that this would be my experience. For someone who enjoys a powdery iris, this is a good take on it. Although it is light on me, the longevity is superb. Another great work from Tauer!

Lovely and old fashioned but not in a "dusty" way. Fresh and floral, I am thrilled to have this one in my collection. Wearable and long lasting.

This is a favorite springtime scent, or any time you want to remember the effervescence of spring. The aldehydes give it a great lift, it reminds me of a floral champagne, with the lovely Tauerade base underlying it all.

I didn't hate this, but I also didn't like it at all. It wasn't horrible, just didn't appeal to me. It started smelling somewhat lemony with a synthetic "clean" smell from the heavy aldehyde dosage. The dry down smelled like lemon drop candy on me. Too candy like for me.

Noontide Petals touches my skin and explodes into a supernova of notes, brightly attacking me all at the same time - citrusy bergamot with a powdery potpourri of dry floral notes, and a kick of patchouli. Moments later, everything disappears, save for musky sandalwood/frankincense and the ylang ylang. The opening is absolute insanity and was overwhelming on me, but after a few minutes, my chemistry annihilates most of the notes into non-existence. The end result, a simple ylang/sandalwood/frankincense choir, is quite nice when I concentrate on it. Further into the drydown, it's mostly frankincense with the support of the velvety sandalwood. I was waffling between 3 or 4 stars, and ended up at 4 because I love frankincense and I don't notice it often in modern perfumery.

What an effervescent floral delight! Noontide petals puts a pep in my step and makes me want to sing happy songs! It is like a fizzy aldehyde floral soda made into perfume...bubbly Tauerade! Andy Tauer is a true artist. His fragrances stand alone and will never be mistaken for another house. Ever. They are all Tauer. It is as if he makes scents that delight him and isn't thinking "what will they like", he just creates what he loves and if others "get it" then wonderful! Well, I get it. In a world of smell alikes and smell similars and been there done that...Tauer stands alone. His creations are just that....creations....and they should almost be in a category of their own. They are not perfume, they are an experience. Wearable art. Noontide petals may nod to the past but it remains modern and wildly unique. But still has that signature Tauerade in the base. Noontide Petals is an energizing, mind clearing, mood enhancing fizzy beauty. It should almost come with a tiny umbrella sticking out the top. Wearing it makes me feel like I have taken a mini vacation!

Like most Tauer scents this is HUGE. Sadly the abundance of bitter aldehydes is more than my olfactory sense can handle. Could not make it to the drydown on this one, I had to scrub it from my skin immediately.

Not a good one. The dry-down is pleasant, but what a terrible journey getting there!

Tauer is not a perfumer, he is a chemist. One easily recognises his personal signature in this scent: no transparency, apothecary/soap notes, too fancy and artificial an idea behind it...and no high perfumery philosophy: very much like Carillon pour un Ange diluted by a bergamot lemonade. Noontide Petals is so heavy I would classify it as unisex.

Smooth and creamy. Very nice! I think this is more of an autumnal scent than spring/summer, but I like it very much.
