Excellent barbershop notes in the opening - lavender, sage, almost earl grey tea like with the bergamot. Reminds me of old fashioned aftershave with sharp astringent blast to the nostrils and wakens one up. Endymion will most likely turn a lot of people off at first because the best part doesn't show until a good 20-30 minutes into wear and one your not going to get from just sniffing on paper either. The cardamon, nutmeg, myrrh really come out and shine when worn on the skin but only the opening herbal and citrus notes stay strong on the paper. In other words starts out very clean, almost antiseptic and mellows out to a very warm comforting spice.

One of the most unsettling fragrances I ever experienced. My initial reaction was a physical dive-bomb...unsettling, minimally. I'm swooning, literally. I'm dizzy. I'm immediately taken the depths I've never dared go. If a scent could ever be a 'Heaven'. scent, well, this is 'it'.

An absolute Masterpiece here! It feels very old school, but has a brightness about it that also says modern too! At least once a week I have to spray this on my pillow before bed. One of my top 5 all time fragrances for sure.

My husband wears this and I absolutely love it. I smell lavender but spice too. I love it so much I have thought about wearing it myself, but I do think it's a more masculine scent. It has great projection and longevity. You won't be disappointed.

Endymion exudes sincerity and class. This fragrance is more for the hopeless romantic than the callous libertine, and is the least pretentious "sexy scent" I have ever encountered. Endymion has this foggy and subtle intrigue about it, and it is very endearing. The longevity and projection could be better, but I think the concentration matches the character, and that might have been ruined with a stronger concentration. Quintessential date-scent for the virtuous man.

I would disagree about this being labeled unisex, it has a distinctly 'traditional' mens cologne sort of feel to it. it's a nice cool and clean scent

I like this one a lot, though not quite to the full bottle level. It's a definite comfort scent, kind of like herb tea with a mild blend of spices, a touch of lavender, and a bit of honey. Extremely well blended. Projects just the right amount-radiates nicely around my person, without trailing behind. A lot of people complain of longetivity, but on me it lasts good 12 hours.

It's a sweet, dark scent that smells like it might get leathery and deep but instead it turns light and clear like a little amber and some incense. Nothing amazing going on here. It's a good scent but it's totally gone in about 2 hours like many other Penhaligon's scents I've tried.

Perhaps I'll have to live with it for a while but this smells too sweet and too much like many other more readily available scents. I tried it out because Chelsea Handler commented that Robin Thicke smelled so good on her show. Must be chemistry.

I read an article in a magazine about how to select classic scents. One of the mentioned products was a line of fragrance from Penhaligon's. During my visit to London, I had the opportunity to sample several of their fragances and the Endymion one was an instant hit with me. The scent is even better once its been on for several hours. It's a sweet scent that does not overpower the room. Everyone I know loves it and I love how its not easily available at your department stores for others to have. Definitely something unique to have (unless you happen to live in the UK).
