One thing I really love about the Comme des Garcons fragrances is how they reference the contemporary world, the machines, the chemicals, just the reality of our lives. And they celebrate it. These are wonderful reflections of our culture.

So with Zero, I'm actually getting some nice natural references like cedarwood and definitely vetiver I pick up. There's a touch of rose, although it's very discreet and something that they call a varnish note, which made me laugh. That's very Comme des Garcons to do that.

But what I love about the scent is it transports me. This is going to sound kind of weird and specific to my life, but it reminds me of being in a public library in the summertime when it's really cold from the central AC. It smells like air conditioning. Maybe a little bit of Xerox machine nearby. Maybe I'm just influenced by the word Zero in this title. It's funny how the mind works.

Anyway, very interesting, very wearable Zero from Comme des Garcons.

Perfect daily scent for someone who wants to smell light, fresh, and clean. Long-lasting, while not being very strong, which I prefer. Unique and inoffensive.

A classic. Maybe one day, iconic. It's fresh, sweet, but also maintains the CdG incense note beneath all going on above. Really, quite pleasant.

This is a clear and clean scent. It opens with prominent citrus and transitions into a fresh aldehydic, green, dewy vetyver-ish type of scent that is very youthful, inoffensive, and uplifting. The fragrance is astonishingly long-lasting. I sprayed it in the early afternoon, was in and out of the pool, and still can smell it on my wrist well into the night. The smell is not unique, however, here and there it reminds me of something I wore before. First I remembered Kenzo Air and then "This is Not a Blue Bottle" by Histoires de Parfums came to mind. Although the notes are different, the vibe is very similar. Perhaps Ambroxan and ISO E Super combo set the tone here.
