Here's what other people are saying about Psychedelique...
In my top three patchoulis! A smooth and earthy chocolate-patchouli on an amber base. Dark and inviting. Coromandel's punk sibling.

I think this is teaching me a lot about patchouli. I tried to guess the notes before reading them and I kept thinking it was heavy mint. I guess that’s the patch. The chocolate cake that so many have mentioned is a big presence for me too—and I think must ALSO be the patch--maybe playing a game with the vanilla and labdanum? How can something smell simultaneously so cocoa-ish and also like you are on the ‘back 40” doing a heavy day of weeding—and I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s just very much like being out in nature… I also agree with others that it can be powerful. I don’t think this is something I would want to smell like for hours at a time, but I admire it, and it’s very individual!

Bake a cake of patchouli and cocoa. Take that hot cake out of the oven and slather it with a rich amber and vanilla frosting. Crack it open and get a whiff. That's Psychedelique to my nose, and I adore it.

Bake a patchouli cake - a dry, spicy cake with hints of chocolatey cacao - pull it out of the oven, hot and aromatic, then slather it with a rich amber/vanilla frosting. And you have Psychedelique. Sensual and optimistic. and very nearly gourmand. A masterpiece.

Scrumptious. I was on the fence about even buying this fragrance sample due to the name of it..but this is quite a syrupy (IMO) scent, but it’s not so sweet it’s cloying. Perfect balance. You do have to wait about 30 mins before it’s gets nice though, I put some on my wrist right away and at first I thought I might hate it, but after it dries down it’s very nice.

Beautiful patchouli fragrance. Earthy, chocolatey and creamy on the dry down. Turning into also a hazelnut cream. Delish.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Jovoy's Psychedelique is a Patchouli bomb! Very chocolate "Cakey" in a way that I love. For the price, Jovoy is a perfume house that I will buy more of in the future. Worth every penny, and the women love this to a point that they will be standing all around just to get a whiff, Ha Ha!

Liquid sunshine in a bottle! Reminds me a LOT of 1969 by Histoire de Parfums, but even friendlier. Tons of vanilla, amber, and marshmallows-- I need a lot more of this!

Whoa...blindsided again by Jovoy. What a charmer this one is to wear. Intense patchouli but blended in such a way that it's not overly earthy and gives the impression of chocolate cake. Shy of gourmand, but a really clever scent. Try first. May be better on women but I like it.

this fragrance is wonderful but the bottle I received leaks what do I do ?

It blasts out of the bottle with gusto and intensive fervor. Initially, it was a heavy-hitter with the patch coming on strong to the point where I couldn't readily identify the other notes. TICK -TICK-TICK, then, the slow and lovely swirl down in to a warm, sexy, senses-wheeling scent that was electrifying. Take note: I am a fervent Patch lover. This fragrance isn't all about the Patch though. The blend is multidimensional. For you fence-sitters, this one is worth a try but I would advise a sampling first. Apply liberally and see what magic happens.

Hm. I loved it right away. A more complex patchouli, it really has that distant memory of a classy head shop from the 60s about it ... but it faded fast and ended up smelling like a more average patchouli on me. I think I have a difficult chemistry for fragrances to have much staying power. I'm trying it again and I'll get back to you. I want to keep loving it.

Nice patchouli but very faint on me, I can hardly smell it.

Jovoy makes some seriously potent juice. This is presently my favorite house. So far I've fallen madly in love with, four of their fragrances...Psychedelique, Les Jeux sont Faits, Private Label, and Ambre Premier...in that order. While these notes have become very commonly slapped together countless times. Psychedelique is different...it creates a fragrance barrier, an aura that radiates for hours on end, perfect for a long evening. The quality is second to none. I've had several people ask me what I was wearing especially during the first 4-5 hours. After that you have to get in closer, but still doesn't fail to impress. Psychedelique combines with ones skin chemistry immaculately after the opening becoming extremely gender free. A Very well done rendition.

Psychedelique starts out on the sharp, dry end of the patchouli spectrum -- not at all unpleasant, and rather similar to L'Artisan's Patchouli Patch. But an hour later, the sharp notes have dropped back into place and the fragrance becomes warmer, more rounded and much more nuanced. There's a really nice play between the drier and warmer elements of the fragrance. I totally agree that the name Psychedelique, and its connotations with dirty hippies and cheap patchouli, is rather unfortunate, because this is a sophisticated, very wearable patchouli-based scent.

It's funny, this one - I have almost a love/hate with it. If you're patient and can wait for the drydown 30-60 minutes later, you'll be thrilled. The LS description is as good one, but it takes awhile to get intoxicating. Initial blast is super sharp, but with time, your skin is left with a beautiful woodsy, ambered patchouli. My patience is good though and I bought a FB. Also worth trying are the Ambre Premier (beautifully done amber but nothing as unusual as P) and L'Enfant (which is very similar to Feminite du Bois).
