Here's what other people are saying about China White...
I must again roll my eyes at the description of China White, which is, frankly, a rather delicate, gentle musk with no over or undertones of addiction or scandal. It's a well-bred lady on holiday that you met at your uncle's villa. I rather love it.

The only Nasomatto I didn't like; seems very feminine (despite the rating on here).

Smell is very long lasting, but I'm very perplexed why is my bottle of China White looks so dark yellow, like a Duro bottle and smell has no flowery notes at all?

The title is a play on words. 80s heroin/heroine. I could see Teresa Russell wearing something like this in 'Bad Timing.' Chalk dusty, musky incense powder with a sneaky rose/floral (and possibly vetiver?) presence that disappears and reappears throughout the day/night. I don't find it as 'white' and 'clean' as some of the review here. The 'lift' in it comes more from the swirling incense and light green accent rather than those soapy awful white musks that pollute (in my opinion) a lot of perfumes. In short, it's is a masterpiece and unlike anything I've ever worn. It's extremely sensual on women and very seductive on men. I've seen it make my friends and strangers equal parts intrigued, enamored, and even a bit wary.

This is such a good scent. Just like most other Nasomatto frags this one is very unique. It smells like ckean, white incense with light, white florals. This is a very powdery scent... reminds me of chalk dust. I feel that a man or woman can pull this one off, although if there ever was a femine version of Black Afgano, this would be it. Great scent, stong longevity, pretty good projection.

This smells like a child of vintage YSL Opium and Annick Goutal Heure Exquise--a powdery, floral Opium.

The components are not listed in this parfum, so I just want to give my impression. There is a strong incense smell mixed with spice and florals. The longer you wear it the more prominent the incense smell becomes. It is close to being an oriental floral, but the floral notes are weaker here. To me it is a little oppressive and does not have enough depth. I gave two stars for price and longevity too.

I adore this fragrance. Powdery, spicy, floral, and more...it's all there and I can't get enough of it. Why, why WHY does Nasomatto have to be so expensive? At least give us 100ml bottles and knock the unit price down a notch, please!

Absolute heaven, but pricey. It doesn't last as long on me as I'd hoped. The scent: smoky white musk, sexy yet clean. If I was in the money, I'd have a bottle already.

I'm glad I got the sample first. On me, it went on like a very sharp floral then dried down to a marijuana smell.

First powder then barbecue sauce. This is the first sample I've ever had to wash off! WOW

Very strange and dry in a lovely way. It could be a pillar in my fragrance collection.

Unbelievably spicy and then a real powdery cool down. It lasts a very long time. Perhaps those qualitites conjure up its name. I think it is overpriced, though

totally mesmerizing, as some have found. a very solid blend of chypre-like ingredients, definitely has some bergamot, iris/rose, base of vetyver. In that sense it's not very special, even has that sort of generic "old lady" perfume smell so many associate with chypres. However, things take a turn for the much better as the skank factor is supercharged in this one. It's good in a very very naughty way. And thus merits its illicit association by name. Absolutely a must-try for you lovers of very grown up, chypres, leathers, with some dirty (intimate) laundry thrown in for good measure. Super-duper sexy. Skipped out of the store with a bottle of that one.

Lovely, complex, intriguing. I think the "mystery" ingredient is Vetiver; China White is a lighter cousin to the exquisite Onda.

it smells very musty and a bit of cedar not my type as is the oriental and amber notes are too overpowering and strong.

This fragrance is a soaring medley of notes that express every conception of 'white' - from creamy petals to new-fallen snow, from the blank, nose-tingling whiffs of fresh oxygen on a cold mountaintop, to more earthy scents of newly tanned undyed suede over raw cream in a bucket. China White likes to make quite an impression - very memorable! I find myself wanting to wear it again and again.

Only an idiot would name a fragrance after a drug that killed thousands of people.

Just received my sample and it smelled so familiar. After about an hour realized that is smells just like Ca Sent Beau by Kenzo to my nose. Same notes. But this one lasts longer. Lovely, lovely lovely...
