Eau de Parfum
“I’m in the m…oud for love”. Not just another pun. And not just another oud. First off, because unlike many fragrances that boast the note in the name, Oud for Love does actually contain the precious oil, sourced in Laos by Bertrand Duchaufour. But also because, unusually, this particularly luscious oud sprouts a vampy floral bouquet – tuberose and ylang-ylang – that adds curves to the potion. A fresh, agrestic combination of pink pepper and coriander brightens the lash of whisky in the top notes. A soft drizzle of caramel sweetens the vetiver and sandalwood base and adds to the sexy yumminess.
Conceived at the same time as Oud Shamash – The Different Company’s CEO loved both proposals so much he couldn’t pick, so he decided to put out the two – Oud for Love is also unisex. But it might entice women who find most oud offerings too macho to give in. Tuberose and leather: what’s not to love?
