The Scoop

Jasmin de Nuit is a childhood dream, the sweetness of the flower that opens at nightfall mingled with a hint of star anis…and rests on a warm bed of amber. Exotic Egyptian Jasmine is used abundantly here and, combined with spices such as cardamom and cinnamon, delivers and elegant, sohphisticated fragrance with a subtely-sweet drydown. This will truly astound the senses.

Here's what other people are saying about Jasmin de Nuit...
Lovely blend of jasmine and amber, with a soft sweetness in the dry down. This reminds me a lot of Bulgari's now discontinued original Jasmine Noir. This is the lighter, softer little sister of that fragrance, which is one of my full bottle loves. There is something trifling that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars, that I cannot quite put my finger on. I think it is the star anise. But it is what I would define as "pretty" and definitely on my list of favored jasmines. I will finish out the sample to see how it grows on me.

An airy and more flowery (hence summery) version of Lilies and Spice by Penhaligon's. A little bit "déjà vu" but a good attempt to conjure up the night flower smell...

The anise and cardamom bring out a facet of jasmine that I've never experienced after about a 20 minute drydown. It's soft and sweet without the sugar. Agreeable. Makes me lean in and sniff. Really lovely.

I HATE floral, but I LOVE this. Not floral to me, slightly sweet, deep, warm and soft. It's sublime. I don't know how anyone could not LOVE this. I sifted through many samples that were way to sharp for my tastes. This one makes me feel dreamy.

It's not your typical super flowery floral-in fact you have to sniff carefully to pick up the jasmine in here. Sometimes jasmine comes out a bit more prominently when I wear it, other times I smell only a creamy spicy skin scent. Sadly this doesn't last long on me at all, even if I spray it on my clothes. I wish they had a whole line of TDC body products so I could layer and make it last longer.I love it so much that I'm willing to work with it's lack of commitment. If the bottle weren't so damned heavy I'd just carry it around in my purse with me.

*sigh...* If you are going to name a fragrance after a flower, it should smell like the flower. This gives you just the barest whiff of Night Jasmine and it disappears into an oriental blend- which I do like, by the way. My advice for the maker of this perfume is to stop listening to your merchandizers about how much it costs to put the correct amount of Jasmine essential oil into the mix. If they want to save money, they can take a cut in pay.

Just received a sample, love it! TDC is a true cut above todays mass market fragrance world. A very classy, complex, and earthy fragrance. All of the fragrances from this line are unique!

I bought samples last year to try, but didn't care much for Jasmin de Nuit. However, I was pregnant at the time... my sense of smell wasn't working. I tried it today and something wonderful happened. The jasmine notes didn't stay long, but its spicy top and slighty earthy base are so wonderful. I did wish it had more lasting power.

I put this on and absolutely fell in love with the scent. It has enough masculinity that a man could wear it - though on a man it would be a old scent. I gave the sample to my wife and she is completely head over heels about this scent. If you like Jasmine, and are a woman, this is a no brainer. If you are a guy, you will have to think about it as it isn't as masculine as many things out there.

This is my happy fragrance! Ultra feminine, unbelievably sexy, but also soft and delicate and beautiful. Luckily too, it truly lasts on me :) Something about it always makes me feel so well put together, so in control and so ready for anything. This is the one I have to say!

Gorgeous and sophisticated, soft, and utterly feminine. I can't recommend this highly enough. This is one I'd take with me to a desert island.

This one surprises me. i keep waiting for it to morph into something unpleasant or old lady like, but it never does. it seems a warm, stable, round scent. powdery, but just a touch, spicy, but just a touch. me likey. and to my amazement so does my husband and he is usually completely indifferent. i find it soft, warm and sexy. unlike the other posters i do not feel it is too heavy or sophisticated. it strangely reminds me of a cross between Drakkar (men's scent) and Opium..but is still feminine...

This is nice. I am reminded of root beer when I smell it, which isn't a bad thing. I lean toward the sweeter scents, so this is a good one for me. It will be on my xmas list!

Very cinnimony, and egyptian musky. i wasn't sure if I was going for Chai or to be mumified. Too much!

I wanted so much to like it. It smelled delicate and lovely in the sample vial. But it disappeared immediately on my skin!

This is the best scent in the world and exactly what a woman should smell like. I finally ran out of my sample and ordered my first bottle. Ladies, this is divine, this is heavenly - this will make your man melt at your feet! Hopefully it will help me sell some houses as well! :)

Luckyscent was nice enough to send me this complemntary sample with some others that i had ordered. At first I did not think I would like it. There is quite a difference from the initial whiff from the test vial to the way Jasmin de Nuit smells warming upon the skin... accent on the word "warming". This is a friendly white floral for those perhaps not so crazy about them. At first it was way too green and plant-like. Dries down to something so subtle and lovely, it is heartbreaking...

Reminds me a bit of Bal a Versailles; super amber-y on me. There is not a single airy note in this one, which is great, but not with spring nearing. Great for a red-lipstick and Italian stilettos night out in November!

Heavy, heavy. NOT something that I would wear just anywhere. It is dark and it is a very heavy floral; amber, sandalwood and jasmine as a combination are a huge commitment! I will save this for a cold night out while wearing velvet and gloves.

Just a awesome fragrance. This is diffenately worth the price. This fragrance smells heavenly, I just want to keep smelling it. GO FOR IT, if you where wondering about it!

Very sultry & sexy,..really sexy. And it lasts.

I don't even like florals and I love this! It's not too flowery or too sweet. It's a beautiful mix of jasmine, musk and spices. The only complaint I have is it's a touch powdery in the dry down, but not enough to turn me off.

Way too sweet for my taste. The jasmine is clouded by the spices.

I don't really like florals. This one is the exception. It's beautiful. Worth the price.

This is a gorgeous scent! Soft and floral -- alluring and sultry -- sexy and sensual. I tried on a few sample scents and when my husband sniffed this one he lingered a while. Four hours later -- it still smelled amazing. Enough said.

Well, this is one beautiful floral fragrance. It is sweet and lovely. One of my favorite florals. Beautiful when you first put it on, and stays beautiful.
