Love and Crime by Ex Idolo

Love & Crime by Ex Idolo. So Love & Crime is considered a gourmand or a deep floral gourmand and it is personally one of my favorites that we carry at Scentbar. So it's actually based off of this really fun kind of whimsical true story of a Boston prison break in 1905 where saws were baked into a wedding cake and they escaped and this whole cute love story, happy ending happens. So, hence in this perfume there are notes of baking sugar and vanilla sponge cake. That being said, the opening of this beautiful perfume is actually red mandarin and pink pepper which really to me gives this like sparkling, very vibrant sort of effervescent opening of citrus when you first smell this which is not like a lot of gourmands that go straight to the sweet. So you're gonna get this burst of citrus and this kind of freshness. Then it goes into the heart notes which are the deeper florals, they're muted, they're not very noticeable and then the baking sugar and this beautiful note of anise which adds this kind of complex spiciness. Not quite licorice, not that far but just this little bite is how I think of it. And then the base as it warms up on skin, you're gonna get that vanilla sponge cake which sounds kind of cute and silly but it actually just is this like beautiful kind of deep, almost buttery vanilla note that's in the base with cocoa which adds again another layer of some depth and darkness to counter the sweet and the bright. So it's really quite a complex gourmand. Really beautifully done. It's so much fun to wear. I would say that this works for men and women and we sell it a lot here to men and women. So it's a unisex gourmand that's really unique, really beautiful, special. I feel good when I wear it. I don't know how else to describe it. It's just, it's kind of a mood lifter. So even if you don't know if you like gourmands or sweet stuff, you might like something like Love and Crime by Exidolo. It's also an x-straight. As you can see, this tiny little bottle. So it's meant to be a concentrate. So a little goes a very long way and I don't personally hold scent that strongly and I can tell you, you do a couple spritzes of this and it pretty much lasts you the whole day. It is absolutely exquisite. It's a beautiful perfume. I think you'll find it puts a smile on your face when you try it. So Love and Crime by Exidolo. Give it a shot. It is really something special.
