Brownie Pop - Maison Mataha

You may have heard of Maison Mataha because of their first fragrance Escapade Gourmand which was a huge hit and they followed it up with Brownie Pop which is meant to evoke the smell of brownies fresh from the oven. I really get that sort of toasted baked quality. It smells sort of like the burnt edge of a brownie. There's melted dark chocolate accompanied by a caramel popcorn note which I think we've been seeing a little bit more in Gourmand perfumes lately. It gives it a sort of playful and fun salty buttery quality. This dries down to a vanilla and sandalwood. The sandalwood is often really lovely in Gourmands.
