Sylhet

Sylhet, a region in the north of Bangladesh, borders the Assam tea estates of neighboring India. It is also the source of some of the world’s most characterful oud, combining lightly sweet aromas of fruit and florals alongside notes of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. In Sylhet, Italian perfumer Antonio Gardoni creates a turbulent, earthy counterpoint to Ashar’s glimmering rainshower flowers and greenery.

Here, the rains soak deep into the earth, as patchouli and vetiver release the crushed scent of leaves trodden in the soil.
