I wanted the perfume to feel rooted in the great tradition of classical French artistic perfume, with richness, proportion, and beauty, yet not become trapped by the old limits of the genre. The aim was to create something genuinely new: a floral perfume with refinement and tradition behind it, but with a freer, more vivid movement and a more open, modern sense of air. Bergamot brightness and an aldehydic lift open the fragrance. Hyacinth impression, dewy petals, rose softness, geranium nuance, and violet nuance lead into a calm woody amber base with cedarwood, sandalwood, ambroxan, benzoin, and soft woody musks.
