Douceur Brulee

wasn't expecting this to become one of my favorite scents, but i find myself reaching for it most days. buttery burnt caramel is the primary scent and stays long after it's been sprayed. this is perfect on a cozy sweater and for a day in for yourself (though i have been complimented for it as well)

I love this, but if you don’t like perfumes that are super sweet, this should definitely be avoided. It initially smells like syrup covered pancakes and it settles into a kind of basic syrupy scent. For that reason, I think it would be best paired with another perfume to add some complexity, but I still really like it on its own. Lasts all day and has a nice personal sillage.

Beautiful, rich, niche. Takes you in, tells the story. You get Akro Bake opening, you get this harsh bright lemon cake that turns, burnt caramel, deep cream, crème brulee type custard, crème. Sugar, airy spun sugar and burnt sugar dancing back and fourth. Hard carcmel crust, then, lactonic goodness wafts and comingles with ALL of the above. I love this because it continues to move in and out of this gorgeous, strong, expensive, niche scented master piece. It smells complex, it smells like fine art. It smells like what you were hoping for. I am placing an order for my back up because this is now one of two signature scents.

One of my most favorite scents of all time. Sweet and delectable, it’s the richest sweetness that you could ever imagine in a fragrance. Projects well and lasts for hours. Please never stop making this….

Was so disappointed when smelling this in person. Had high hopes based off the notes alone, but after smelling it, it made me literally frown. The caramel in this is very burnt, the butter is very artificial, and there’s some underlying animalic musk here. I wouldn’t say it’s extremely bad by any means, but it definitely was a big letdown and none of the notes felt like they blended together well or smelled realistic.

This is decadence in a bottle. I have come to figure out that gourmands are my thing. This right here is a good one!!! The brown butter caramel just lingers on the nose. I could smell this for ours. I ordered a smoke and now I’m ordering a bottle. Try it!!

This one is straight up lemon cream pie on me. A nice pie with plenty of whipped cream. Not sticky sweet. On me, it's light and refreshing, like enjoying a slice beside the pool with a breeze coming through. Not getting much caramel at all, just a hint of salted butter and that ubiquitous lemon. I'd believe you if you told me this had been mislabeled. Sticks close to the skin. Longevity is on the short side.

Smells absolutely delicious! The gourmand lover in me is salivating over this brown butter caramel concoction. It has a barely there hint of coconut and musk to give it some depth. It's sweet but not overly sickly, just yummy.
