Musc Panache by Maison Rebatchi is this gorgeous, I would call this a transparent musc fragrance. It is so lovely. This is actually by famous perfumer Maurice Poussel. He did that scent you've probably heard of called Muscabéjour by Fredric Bon. So he's pretty well known and I love that scent, but this is not really like that. I think he was going for sort of the opposite, but in the musc world.

This is, at least from what I've read, this is airy, light, sparkling musc. There is this wonderful tart tamarind note at the top, a little bitter orange, a little vetiver, some mandarin, and then it goes into this kind of slightly warm, creamy tonka amber patchouli cedar, but really this is this airy, fresh, summertime musc. It is so beautiful. Check it out.

Musc panache— very soft and tranquil. Casual and unassuming but also widely appropriate. I don’t get much citrus at all. It’s more musk, faint floral, and a bit of woods for me. Lately I’ve been hitting the spicy and or sweet scents mostly, and this is a nice break from the categories I use most. I won’t buy a full bottle but totally respect the composition.

I really wanted to fall in love with this, as I am always on the lookout for new light musks/skin scents. But on me, it reads soapy and slightly perfumey and masculine, like a light men's cologne. Rather than blending into my skin, it seems to sit on top of it--even after I've allowed it time to dry down. Glad I purchased a sample!
