Salted Green Mango is utterly unique, and dare we say it, one of Strangers Parfumerie’s best. There are green fragrances, there are sour fragrances, there are dry fragrances - Salted Green Mango manages to be all of the above, but with an otherworldly, exotic flair that defies description. Ostensibly an ode to Bao mango, a green, tart mango native to the Southern part of Thailand, where perfumer Prin Lomros was born and raised, there is nothing really sweet or juicy about the fruit note here. Instead, the mango is a thing of rare, desiccated beauty - a dark green rind dipped in sea salt that sucks all the moisture out of your mouth only to think of it.

Why would this be refreshing or appetizing? We don’t know, but it just is. Salted Green Mango is a green fruit devoid of sweetness, moisture, or sparkle – instead, it draws us into the shadows of a mineral vetiver and the pleasant bitterness of inedible fruit that is all rind and pith. Salted Green Mango is the crawlspace where we find the coolness and repose we crave in the hottest of weather.

I have one of “those” chemistries that makes perfume do odd things. The salted part of the scent comes across as a heady nautical perfume, pleasant and inoffensive, complex enough to keep you taking another sniff. As the top notes fade, the scent becomes extremely close wearing. Overall, a great unisex nautical scent. I love that it doesn’t develop any funky powdery or musky elements during the dry down.

Full bottle worthy for me! I have a hard time trying to describe this scent. It is fresh, even in hot & humid Puerto Rico weather, yet I wouldn't call it citrusy weirdly enough (there is obviously a lot of citrus going on in there). It is very unique imho. I think I detect the green mango, green chili, sandalwood, and perhaps a pinch of salt. I don't get any of the florals come through. It feels warm and smooth and dare I say earthy, yet not at all musky or sweet. Very unisex as well. I would highly recommend sampling it if you are at all intrigued. I continuously nuzzle up to my arm to breathe in the warm yumminess. I want to explore more scents from this brand now because I am so impressed with this one.

This is a very unique and strange brew. I imagined something tart and citrus considering the notes listed. On me it isn't that. I get this opening of maybe chilis, salt, seaweed, and a floral perhaps too. After an hour or so, the scent becomes smooth and sandalwoody. It is very sexy and mysterious. It is one of those scents that keeps making me snuggle up to my arm for a whiff. I could see how on certain ppl this could turn headache inducing or just plain bad smelling though. It last for 6-8 hrs and has the perfect sillage, not too strong or weak. I highly recommend a try. I am mostly drawn to gourmands or high quality vanillas but this fragrance is unique, chic, beautiful!

This one doesn't really work for my body chemistry. It is a "green" scent but somehow everything mashes together, I can't make out any of the notes themselves and to be honest it just smells kind of weird. But honestly this is often what happens for me with fragrances with 15+ notes in them so I guess my skin just prefers simplicity.

Oh, the green mango’s in there all right, but let’s talk about the real excitement here: chili, salt, and seaweed, with an ornery dry grain note inserting itself at peculiar intervals. A few twinkles of bitter orange and bergamot make themselves known, but this glorious weirdo is no juicy-fruit melange -- instead, Strangers has somehow delivered my favorite marine fragrance in a very long time. Grand.

I normally love vanilla & sweet fragrances, but tried a sample of this out of curiosity and loved it. Like mentioned in other descriptions, it isn't a juicy mango, but a specific green mango. The dry down is lasting and gorgeous. Bought a full size bottle and now working my way through trying more samples from Strangers. Unique and addicting!

On first spray, yes, this smells exactly like a salted green mango that could be handed to you from a cart in southern Thailand. Unusual and refreshing. For me personally it dries down to a sweet sandalwood. I can smell the salt if I look for it, but in this drydown it's now not really special. If this retains its greenness on your skin you may love it.

Comes off super green and spicy, with lovely hints of green mango. 30 minutes later, it unfolds into this creamy, yet dry tropical scent that I constantly dip my nose into. Its sexy! I bought it about a year ago thinking nothing of it, and a few days ago, I randomly tried it again, sitting there shocked as to why I never acknowledged the layers of this perfume, now I'm buying a full bottle.

I am so intrigued by this fragrance. Each time I wear it brings joy. I sometimes spray my arm just to smell it while I go to bed. Weird. Yes. I love to wear this especially when it's humid , rainy sticky hot weather. I will need another bottle, which are very reasonable priced.

One spray and I’m still smelling it 24 hours later. Delicious green delight which changes over time. Sweet caramel and sugar glazed melon. A musky incense which clings and enhances an otherwise straightforward Juice. It’s not as weird or mysterious as the promotional material would have you believe. It is however a direct shot at the perfume industry which hocks mediocre products for absurd prices. If nothing else you should support this brand for making quality products at an amazing price point.

I am normally drawn to florals and to be honest, this is the strangest scent I have ever sampled. Having said that, I am drawn to each note of this fragrance. The name fits perfectly, but do not let that dissuade you! Would make for a great unisex scent as well.

On me this is soft sandalwood with an aura of magnolia and some supporting green notes, perhaps the mango, I'm not sure. It is subtle enough to be an everyday wear and interesting enough that I want to wear it every day.

Conflicted with this one. At first (and I hate to say it) it comes out the bottle smelling like L'eau D'issey. It was a bit unexpected given the listed ingredients? Sadly, the dry down was super quick and only the vetiver and sandalwood are left which smells as if I am standing in a parking lot and people are doing donuts. Every once in a while I will smell a whiff of the citrus (my SO says he can smell the mango), but as quickly as it comes it disappears with only soot left in my mouth.
