Chypre Fulminare is a bold and dynamic scent– Vibrant citrus accords and ylang-ylang in the opening lead to a rich heart of pepper, incense and leather. The base of vetiver, oakmoss, labdanum, castoreum and ambergris is intoxicating and magnetic.

“Fulminare” is a Latin word meaning “to strike like lightning”. Our fragrance is suitably striking!

A Chypre style scent is characterised by citrus top notes, a cistus labdanum heart and a mossy and slightly animalic base. Here we have a distinctly effervescent opening, a slightly spicy and exotic heart and a magnificently complex and enticing base.

For years I have searched for a fragrance that would remind me of my favorite incense, Satya Sai Baba’s Nag Champa. I even went as far as trying to make my own with essential oils. I bought a sample of this after giving up on that search and didn’t think it would be what I was looking for, but more just an interesting description I wanted to try. However, upon first spray I realized this was the well developed version of what I once had in my mind. It is beautiful.
