Ramdan Night

Smells strong at first, like you don't know what it'll turn into. Ultimately, it captures the essence of the luxuries of the Middle East and Central Asia without being floral, more like woody with a hint of lingering sweetness. A beautiful concoction where a little goes a long way. Like most of the rest from this brand, it can be worn by everybody.

I got a sample of Ramdan Night a few months ago and liked it but didn't love it. Second try: wow. This is an oud I can get behind. Many are too strong for me. The sweetness of the fruits balances astringent oud in a composition that smells lush and opulent yet refined and serious, like magenta suede. The description and list of notes are both sparse, but it reminds me of a high-quality oriental oud scent, the kind that typically features amber, rose, spices, fruit notes, oud, and patchouli. Has a Serge Lutens Arabie quality, though more linear and with less depth and smokiness than Arabie. It's a scent I'd wear for a special occasion. Not as long-lasting as I'd prefer, but great price given the quality.
