I like it, but I did think it would be a little sweeter than what it is. Its coffee overload, but more of a bitter coffee note. The honey really falls by the wayside. Not sure if I need a full bottle.

This is super nutty up front, almost peanutty, and the popcorn.... not my favorite, but very interesting & complex, which I do like. The caffeine is from an espresso, very nice. Once it cools down, leathery, coffee, tobacco..... think of an old book store, everyone has a black cup of coffee and just came in from their break smoking their cigars, cigs, & old fashioned pipes while sitting on high back leather arm chairs. This is class without the snobbery.....educated & distinguished.

If you're looking at this as a honey fragrance, then I'd give it 4 out of 5. But I was hoping for more coffee and it's very much in the background here while the honey and ambroxan are out in front.

I ordered a sample of Comme Un Carrousel but was instead given Caffeine Honey. This scent was absolutely vile. The application smelled like burnt popcorn. It was overwhelming and almost a bit acrid. I did my best to wash it off immediately with an unscented bar of glycerin soap. After about 30 minutes the smell actually became stronger and turned into what I can only describe as sweaty butt. Normally, when I get samples, if I don't like something I will send it to one of my friends to try, in the hopes that their skin chemistry and personal taste might fair better with it. This one I threw strait in the trash because I can't imagine subjecting anyone else to that experience.

I got a sample of this and I am glad I got it. I found it unpleasant. Very intense bitter coffee note, which repelled me. Maybe people who are into gothic style find this interesting, but it is one of those perfumes that you have to be careful with.
