Eau Rose - Eau de Toilette

Purchased the EDT and within minutes, it smelled like clean soap. Not one hint of rose and a soap I would not want to use again.

I know this is a beloved rose scent, but it's a little blah for me. The lychee and blackcurrant gave me pause, but thankfully neither are overpowering here. The most forward notes are rose (a nice enough watery rose), musk, and geranium. I only get a quick little snapshot of a fresh, dewy rose right after applying, and it evaporates like a mirage within minutes. As it dries down, I get more of the warmer, fuzzier notes like musk, and less of the floral and fruit. This becomes pretty boring pretty fast and has very little longevity. Within an hour, it's as though I was never wearing anything to begin with. I think in this price range, being boring and having no longevity make this a poor value to the dollar. 6/10.

If you have ANY rose fragrances, you don't really need to bother with this. It smells like a lot of others on the market. The opening is too powdery and stuffy for my liking. Only the white musk lasts on my skin and I'd rather have something with more complexity. It's fine, but nothing special.

So pretty, nothing really special but very very pretty and nice. Just a little juicy, very rose.

Nice clean light rose. Little bit of musk, but not overpowering or powdery. It's fresh without being 'modern' or 'edgy'.

For whatever reason, I've decide d to explore rose fragrances. I've always stayed away from om them because I thought they w old be too sweet and heavy. I eagerly dabbed some of this on when I received my sample. It had promise. Light and lovely. But on the dry down it turned quite sweet and I began to smell the musk. I loathe musk and I have never found a perfume with musk that I like. For those who seek a pretty rose and like musk this is one to try. Longevity is quite good. I'm enjoying Montale's Rose Petal Aoud and Mancera's Rose Aoud much more. But give this one a try.

A beautiful true rose scent without a lot of other notes to clutter it up. It's warm, yet fresh and perfectly lovely.

Really lovely. It's the perfect, delicate rose fragrance. It somehow follows the life of the rose from bud to bloom, so it's both green and floral, subtle but tenacious. For such a light scent, it has fairly remarkable longevity, and I could see this one being suitable in all situations. If you like rose scents, and are looking for something easy, fresh and pretty to wear, look no further.

Mgnifique! This is amazing. I love all of Diptyque's scents. Tam Dao is also incredible.

Very classic, female perfume that will be appropriate for every life situations: business meeting, dinner with friends or evening date. It's light and comfortable, and as i've noticed live longer if sprayed on clothes not on skin.

OH OH EAU ROSE! I'm definitely getting flashes of "Stella" out of this. It also brings to mind a gentler version of Le Labo's "Rose 31." It is neither of these, but it has the best qualities of both. This scent is like a rose garden (fresh, almost delicious apple-y green, luscious blossoms) with happy bees (and beeswax) buzzing through. It's splashy, sexy (a hint of soft musk), it's light-handed but longlasting. Not your grandma's rosewater, it's fresh rose petals on a picnic blanket a cool breeze and someone to kiss.
