I kind of dismissed this at first when I got a sample in the mail. I tried it again a few days later and was struck by how much more I liked it. For L'Artisan Parfumeur fans like myself who were devastated when BOTH Seville a l'Aube and L'Été en Douce were discontinued: this fragrance has some remnants of both, but especially L'Été en Douce. Light orange blossom, light clean musk, and a trace of something else that's hard to put my finger on--it's a great scent, especially for hot climates/summertime, in both dry and humid heats.

This was a huge disappointment, especially after trying La Chasse aux Papillons which was an incredible and delicate floral. There was barely any orange blossom in Histoire D'Orangers at all instead it's an extremely soapy, powdery scent with some musky sweetness and just a touch of orange blossom. I'm a huge orange blossom fanatic and was hoping this would be the one, but the name is misleading, it's not much of an orange blossom scent at all.

This is a very pretty orange blossom perfume, delicate and light. I was hoping it would resemble the 2005 or 2007 Fleur d'Oranger Harvest editions, which isn't really fair since this is more affordable and features different accent/base notes. Histoire d'Orangers opens with a gorgeous orange blossom accord, tender and energized at the same time. This precious opening fades pretty quickly, and the underlying white musk and woody ambroxan take over with a pleasant yet underwhelming effect. I adore the fragrant burst of the opening, but I'm not in love with the remaining wearlength. For me, this would be a scent to decant into a travel bottle so that I can reapply.
