Over a decade ago, Abel set out to create distinctive, contemporary scents using only 100% natural ingredients, an ambition brought to life through master perfumers, cutting edge biotechnology, and low impact packaging. Founded by former winemaker Frances Shoemack, who left the wine trade after discovering the fragrance industry's reliance on petrochemicals, Abel now works with Master Perfumer Isaac Sinclair and Dr. Fanny Grau across studios in Amsterdam, New Zealand, and New York City.

At the core of Abel's approach is biotechnology: fragrance molecules fermented from plant sugars, much like winemaking, yielding precision natural scents with the performance and longevity once thought impossible without synthetics.
