The Time by House of Oud

The House Of Oud is an excellent Italian line that we've been carrying for a few years. It's a collaboration with an Italian perfumer and an oud expert from Jakarta. But some of my favorites from this line have no discernible or obvious oud in them. And this is one of my favorites. It's a new release out 2018. It's called The Time. And it's a beautiful oolong tea with black tea. And I had been on the hunt for a tea. It just hit me last week. I wanted to wear a tea scent. And usually teas, I completely enjoy, but usually teas either lean towards osmanthus, a sort of floral green tea, or a jasmine tea. Or they go dark and tarry like an osam or a kimon in that black or a chai spiced tea. And what I love about this one is it is exactly in the middle. And it's neither floral nor is it too smoky. It's subtly smoky. In fact, it's more milky creamy if anything. But it, like I said, is built around oolong and black tea notes in the heart. And then there's this base of amber, cedar, iris, and musk. And I feel like that gives it both this dry, cool sort of crispness, but it also leaves a powdery, gauzy texture to it. And I feel like this is a little gauzy. It feels like you're being enveloped by a pleasant fog, like a morning fog or a fog in the mountains. It's very relaxing. And it is transparent, but there's some weight to it. And then the top is bergamot and lemon and then a touch of chamomile. And that combination gives it a fruitiness that I find is very realistic. When you brew a really lovely oolong, there's always just a hint of fruitiness. It's almost like the crispness of an apple without the exact specific flavor of apple. And I feel like there is that in this scent as well. Not specifically fruity, but just that energy and that freshness and almost mouth-watering effect. It lasts for a long time on my skin and even longer if you hit your hair or a jacket. I did that. I wore a jacket the day I tried this on and I put it on a few days ago and I could still smell it. And I loved it. It made me incredibly happy. It's a very relaxing scent, a beautiful scent. It's great if you want to feel clean, fresh and relaxed. So try this out.
