I LOVE the IRIS Bleu Gris by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier so thought I would try their amber fragrance. Oh my gosh! Top notes blend together so well, it's hard to pick out a specific ingredient. Same on the dry down. It just smells like something luscious, warm, and soothing, like a warm cashmere blanket! I accidentally ordered 2 samples, once those are gone, I will be ordering a bottle! This is NOT an in-your-face amber, but a very sophisticated blend that is NOT a gourmand, oud, oriental, spicey, powdery blend, etc., but something unique and skin-like. LOVE IT!

This fragrance is absolutely magnificent. I am getting over 12 hours of wear and even towards the end the projection is still moderate. The top and middle notes are amazing but what I am in love with is the base dry down notes. The amber is well rounded and light with the surrounding balsams. 1010 for me and I will be buying a back up bottle!

This is my FAVORITE amber - and I do love ambers. It is rich. The balsam is what knocked this one out of the park for me. Just beautiful.

My favorite cologne/perfume so far. Rich, delicious, powdery, warm, comforting. If someone hugs you while you are wearing this, they will not let go. They will pull you closer and bury their nose in your neck. Good sillage and longevity, starts creamy and gets powdery (almost baby powdery, but in the best way possible) in the drydown. Stays warm and comforting throughout. The name means 'precious amber' and that's precisely what you get. A masterpiece.

I purchased a full bottle of this for my mother's birthday. It's a unisex Amber so I obviously am going to get a bottle for myself considering how nice it smells and has good projection and 2 sprays and your good!

A clean and cozy scent. In the top note, I smell something camphorous, like Carmex. The middle note is baby powder with a hint of lavender, and the final note is sweet—this is where I smell a bit of vanilla. For me, the overall impression is more sharp and medicinal than it is sweet. It kind of smells like the vanilla-scented Blistex chapstick. It's also potent—I just put a dab on my wrist, but the baby powder smell clung to my clothes all day.

I am new to amber scents and my past explorations with them left me unmoved. But then came this glorious amber brought down to us by the angels! Rich, glowing, golden, regal amber. Now I understand.

This is everything the write up says: rich, decadent, elegant, did I say rich? Love it so much I bought a full bottle--it seems to warm up this awful Minnesota weather from -20 to a balmy 75 degrees.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I have a sample, and have gotten a ton of compliments since I started wearing it. I can't wait to put it on in the morning (and afternoon, and evening..). I'm definitely buying a bottle in the very near future.

This smells like a REALLY nice perfume when I open the sample up. The amber is amazing. But it is a bit too powdery for me, I think - at least on my skin. It first smelled like amber and lavender and vanilla for the first half hour, then went very powdery. I do like this perfume. I just think it's not for me. A different amber, perhaps??

Just received my FB today, ordered unsniffed, and based upon the many positive reviews. I find this to be a lovely, soft, absolutely feminine and inoffensive amber; one that produces a beautiful cloud of tangy, slightly salty, herbal and floral fragrance. This dries down fairly quickly into a skin scent that I can only describe as pure HEAVEN!!! I'm fairly new to enjoying ambers, and I don't think that I could have done better for my first choice. Thank you, Luckyscent reviewers, for being so spot-on, and, Luckyscent, I adore you and the amazing array of products you carry and provide such fantastic descriptions for!!!

This is lovely. It's soft, smoky, masculine, and clean smelling. It's very, very nice. Comforting. It definitely smells luxurious and it is certainly on the cusp of perfection, but for me, the amber is just not quite deep or rich enough. After smelling Ambra Aurea I need amber with just a little more sexiness, a little more kick. I definitely think amber lovers should put this on their to try list and I'm certain for many it's full bottle worthy. 4 delicious stars.

Believe it or not, I bought a bottle of this based solely on the reviews alone; something I'd never done before. The price was a bargain and the reviews so enticed, I had to try. I purchased it with samples of other amber scents but none I loved as much as my Ambre Precieux. It is simply of one of the best amber fragrances I've ever experienced! The bottle itself is gorgeous, a delight for the eyes as well as the olfactory senses. Was I outrageously LUCKY, perhaps... delighted, absolutely! LS you are now my one and only source for fragrance. Many thanks to the reviewers who take the time to post such thorough product reviews. Man or woman, if you love amber, do yourself a favor and sample, you'll not be disappointed.

Spicy at first, warm, creamy, sweet, comforting amber. The lavender note gives the opening a lift, supported by delicious notes of vanilla & tolu. lt's linear but long lasting, & definitely one of the finest quality ambers available. l would give it 5 stars if only it had better sillage, it stay very close to the skin on me.

oh mercy, this stuff is good. starts out clean, maybe a tad bit masculine (but not too much to be offensive) - then quite quickly morphs into that butterscotch toffee amber with a dash of seasalt that others have mentioned. very yummy, yet not gourmand. this scent is heaven. really. and once the dry-down sets in, extremely feminine. everyone who even remotely likes amber should try this. and if you thought SL's Ambre Sultan was too dry and spicy, and L'Artisan's Ambre Extreme too non-descript, this is most certainly for you. enjoy!
