The Scoop
Building on what made the original a cult favorite, Ummagumma Extra keeps the same soul but amplifies everything around it: projection, intensity, and the slow, unfurling smoky-gourmand character.
On one of those endlessly rainy San Francisco nights, perfumer Bruno Fazzolari ducked into a small bar where a fire was burning quietly. The room was warm, wood-smoked, and faintly sweet. The kind of atmosphere that makes you realize that what you’re craving isn’t sunlight at all, but comfort, heat, and a touch of decadent escape. That moment became the inspiration for Ummagumma.
Rather than leaning into dessert-like sweetness, Fazzolari set out to create a gourmand with gravity. The tension between dark chocolate, incense, and smoke shapes the fragrance’s core: an interplay of warmth and shadow designed for adults who want depth, not syrup.
Ummagumma Extra opens with a glow of saffron, black pepper, and a thin ribbon of honey, creating an immediate sense of warmth. The signature heart of dark chocolate and incense expands with richer texture than the original, moving between plush sweetness and dry, resinous smoke. As it settles, tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, leather, and tonka deepen the composition into something darker, longer-lasting, and quietly seductive, with a lingering, almost tactile trail.
