The fragrance begins with a deception as the luminous clarity of orange blossom and bergamot is dragged down by the warm, predatory heat of cumin and an impression of dust. A damp, wet green snap of violet leaf bleeds into creamy jasmine sambac, dark coffee, smoky incense, and akigalawood, exposing a dark, sacred truth like smoke inside a cold cathedral. Beneath it all, earthy vetiver, amyris, and cistus interweave with exotic oud and heated leather, pressing hard against the softness to leave a scent quietly burning from within.
