Rock Salt

Created by Maxim Bortnikov as part of The Last Stop of the Journey collection, Rock Salt draws inspiration from Byzantine mosaics, sun-warmed stone, and travelers arriving at Hierapolis after a long passage across Anatolia. Designed as a mineral fragrance made for heat, it captures a quiet sanctuary where golden light falls across ancient stone and warm mineral water turns travel into memory.

The fragrance opens with an invigorating burst of green mandarin, petitgrain, bergamot, and elemi. It moves into a complex, textural heart where mastic resin, natural ambergris, beeswax absolute, orris butter, labdanum, and a distinct salt accord create the sensation of warm, mineral-rich air against heated skin. Finally, the scent settles into a grounding base of sandalwood, amyris, Haitian vetiver, and Siam benzoin.
