The Scoop
Recent archaeological discoveries in Pompeii inspired Jacques Rouché, the artistic director of the house, and perfumer George Darzens to create a fragrance that captures the timeless aura of this ancient Roman city. Pompeia is a full olfactive portrait of Pompeii, drawing its inspiration from the city's spot at the foot of Mount Vesuvius and its thriving trade in olive oil, as well as rose, myrtle, and iris. A juicy fruity-floral, it carries all the captivating complexity of an ancient goddess.
Mandarin and peach open with bright, juicy sweetness, while jasmine and ylang-ylang bloom at the heart, their floral richness warmed by saffron. Moss and amber deepen the composition, and patchouli and cedar settle into the base, leaving a rooted, lingering trail. Each bottle of 15ml comes with a handkerchief.
