The Scoop
In 1969, a naked woman carrying a cross walked through the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The performance act went under the name "Female Christ," created and carried out by artists Lene Adler Petersen and Bjørn Nørgaard. This radical transgression challenged the dominant values of society and pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. Female Christ ensures that the memory of this transformative moment, which exists only in photographic and filmed records, will live on forever.
The fragrance opens with earthy patchouli and crisp eucalyptus, sparked with pimento's bite. At its heart, tart rhubarb and herbal wintergreen mingle with geranium and red thyme, bringing a green, aromatic complexity. The composition settles into a warm, resinous base of amber, cashmere wood, and benzoin, anchored by vanilla and finished with spiced cinnamon. Earthy and woody with integrity, it captures the defiant spirit of an unforgettable act of rebellion.
