The Scoop
In 1774, Michel Adam, a perfumer-glovemaker from Versailles, opened a boutique in Paris which he named "À la Reine des Fleurs." Its success was immediate, especially within the court of King Louis XVI. That same year, he created his first Eau de Cologne, named after the boutique, and it was adopted by Marie-Antoinette, quickly becoming a must-have at court. The formula was reinterpreted in 1874 to mark the house's centenary and has been carefully preserved ever since, now reintroduced for today's audience.
Aromatic and refreshing, like a breath of fresh air for the spirit, this is a spontaneous elixir that invites you to step outside and embrace the day. Verbena and petitgrain open with bright, zesty clarity, while orange blossom adds a soft, sunlit floral sweetness. Lavender and rosemary bring herbal freshness, lifted by thyme for a crisp, green edge. Musk and ambrox settle into the base, leaving a clean, lingering trail. Each bottle of 15ml comes with a handkerchief.
