Heliotrope Milkbath

Definitely a vintage fragrance, but not old lady. Maybe what Marilyn would wear today if she was young and slutty (complimentary). Smells like you just got out of the tub in a pink tiled bathroom, put your diamond earrings back on, and slipped into your silk robe. Later, you'll put on your 6" black heels. The "slightly run-down Art Deco Los Angeles apartment" that another reviewer referenced is VERY real. Powdery, a little animalistic, highly feminine. Floral with a hint of something naughty.

Opening is sweet and warm and creamy, slightly dirty? It’s like sweet skin. About 4 hours in, it turns to a warm powder that I don’t hate at all! So obsessed with the opening.

Got this sample because I loveeee lactonic scents and thought I would give this a try, At first I liked it and it was super milky but the dry down for me was a bit too powdery. The more I smelt it the more I smelt "old lady" perfume. Definitely more on the milky powder side.

So vintage, romantic, and soft-focus that it becomes edgy and unexpected.The listed notes are accurate - a powdery floral heliotrope opening, candied apricots coming in for whiffs of light and fluffy cotton candy without going gourmand, and a beautiful creamy, beachy skin scent drydown, likely because of the ambrette and musk, with the powderiness still intact.
