I finally found the replacement for Laura Mercier’s Pistachio Body Cream. I have both her perfume & body cream, but do not care for the patchouli. Like the cream, this scent is a creamy, delicious replacement. The macaron note is in there too. I tried all the samples and ended up buying a full bottle of this. Very happy with my purchase.

Gorgeous. Opens with very strong pistachio ice cream accord. Dry-down after about 30 minutes is a warm, powdery, Bavarian bakery scent. Very realistic warm bread, ground almonds, and more pistachio, with a slight hint of cocoa. Six hours after application and still smells beautiful. Slightly oily residue on me, which may help with the longevity.

I was so excited for this scent. I recommend everyone buy a sample so you can experience it before it dries. First smell is like you are standing in the most delicious French bakery, it’s so heavenly. Like previous comments say, it’s true that the smell fades into a very powdery almost plastic smell.

At first application, I thought I was in heaven. This is a luscious pistachio gelato, so rich, sweet, and creamy with a hint of salt. I wanted to eat my wrist. Just delicious! Then about ten minutes later it hit the dry down and I kept sniffing, trying to understand what I was smelling because it was a little bit plasticky, a little sour. I assume it's the sandalwood, morphing into something that stinks on me. Such a disappointment. My certain buy became a no buy.

I'm very torn on this one-- starts off smelling DIVINE with amaretto and pastry notes. The good notes last less than an hour and to my nose, are replaced by a long dry down that smells like chemical coffee. I say try it and see for yourself.

If you love realistic gourmand fragrances this house is for you. This smells like the most delicious pistachio dessert. It smells edible. When I think of pistachio this is what I imagine. For those that like more complex fragrances this is not for you as a stand alone fragrance. I would suggest lathering with a fragrance that needs something sweet added or a bit more pistachio.
