Sel Vanille

I got this as a random sample and immediately had to buy a full bottle. It’s a delicious vanilla base but doesn’t smell too sweet or like a cheap body spray. The wood and aquatic notes really matures this in a way that’s still so elegant. It’s sweet but not too cloying, salty but not brackish, fresh but not overly powdery. The definition of a “just right” fragrance!!

My favorite of Maison Tahite’s vanilla scents. This is a combination of an ocean and vanilla scent. Incredibly well blended and sophisticated. It is different and stunning - clean and warm simultaneously. I love this so much! Bring in the lotion too please.

Very interesting scent, it's a little green, a little floral, a little woody, but overall smells clean and complex and dries down into a vanilla without the sugar. Could be unisex, all the tones reminds me of Maison Louis Marie No. 3, but instead of a coconut note, a savory vanilla is at the base and lingers after a few minutes of wear. This was my favorite from the discovery set from the brand, followed by Carnal Cacao and Cacao in the Sun, but they felt a little too novel to reach for often. And some of the others felt too heavy on the baking extract vibe, but overall, the most interesting and elegant gourmands I've come across, but definitely more refined than Jousset, which are sickeningly sweet and artificial.

I purchased a sample of the Maison Tahite line, and Sel Vanille was my least favorite. Not because it was bad, but because it was not as sweet as I'd like it be. It is definitely a richer, drier, and a very masculine vanilla. The cedarwood really comes through beautifully. It would be a very intriguing and mysterious scent on a man.

Really liking this house so far. I never cared for vanilla scents much till recently- this is one of the better ones. Very nice dry vanilla with a slight smoky saline note. Not super complex, just smells damn good!
