Dear Polly

This was super disappointing and confusing to me. I'm not a seasoned or expert perfume critic, but looking at the accords on Fragrantica, I thought this fragrance would be a lot more fresh and green. Instead, all the notes present are desiccated and old. the apple is old, dry, and leathery and the tea black tea is very mature. It's not that offensive to me but I expected a more fresh, light, green apple-y fragrance and this is just not the one. Best suited for winter also.

I'll allow that maybe this is way better in a spray than a daubable sample… but I tried several times, it was unremarkable and inscrutable and faded within an hour or so every time. Sad I seem to be missing out.

I have been waiting to try Vilhelm fragrances for years and am likewise happy that Luckyscent has them now. Dear Polly is not one that I thought I would like when reading about the notes, but having worn it one day, I can honestly say I am a convert. From the moment I put it on, it reminded me of a very specific place. While that is not probably what the creator intended, a hotel I habitually stay at in Florida smells exactly like this. It is so refreshing and invigorating! The scent used in the foyer makes me want to get out of bed in the morning and return to the hotel for rest in the evening. When I wear this fragrance, I get to be the person that inspires such feelings when I wear it.

I am so excited you’ve started to carry the Vilhelm collection! I love (and own) a number of his perfumes but Dear Polly has a special place on my counter. Truly unisex, it’s a love letter in a bottle. Comforting, warm, a touch sexy and a great choice if you love tea notes.
