I got this as a sample and I absolutely love it! I had to purchase a fb! It’s powdery but not in a “lipstick” way, it’s more airy and clean. The nutty aromas really come through for me and the dry down is a creamy musky scent that’s beautiful! Since this is marked as gourmand I was pleasantly surprised to find this leans more clean than sweet and I don’t find it cloying. It’s an easy long lasting daytime scent that’s beautifully unique and wears nicely in warm or cool weather.

I forgot the notes in this sample when it arrived, and came back to look them up because the scent's genre was so hard to place. I wouldn't define this fragrance as a gourmand, since it's not sweet and doesn't seem to induce any kind of appetitive response in me. Corylus strikes me as more of a soft androgynous aromatic that evokes high-end soaps and shampoos in swanky hotels. There is a hint of cocoa butter on the dry down. The notes are beautifully balanced and I think Luckyscent should place its "gender" dead center. I'd give it 5 stars, but it's fading quickly on me.

This was a blind buy because I loved the description of the notes. I was disappointed at first, as it smelled a little boozy in the opening. After a few minutes, I got a strong, unmistakable anise, but it wasn’t sweet. The dry-down is a powdery vanilla - very pretty and feminine-leaning. It’s a gourmand, except more savory than sweet. I haven’t smelled anything quite like it. It has almost a chypre complexity to it, very sophisticated. I’m getting asked what fragrance I’m wearing (in a good way).
