Here's what other people are saying about Sunset Hour...
This was a like at first sniff... it's true that is smells just as you would expect it to based on the beautiful color on the bottle. Me & hubby were trying out tons of samples and he immediately put this one on his top 3 - then he went on to describe the scene of what he imagines we would be doing while wearing this. Then I read off the description on the sample card and it was basically the same! He is not a niche or perfume guy, but this one just works! I tried on skin & it's def vacation vibes at Sunset Hour! I had been looking for more of a sandy, suntan lotion scent, but this one is a very nice contrast to those types for a cleaner touch & it just makes you feel pretty with a satiny, casual slip on.

This is very soft and unassuming. I think the color of the perfume is perfectly aligned with how it smells. It is primarily fruity to me and the desert peach gives it a different profile somewhat. I don’t feel the ginger or pepper have much role here. It’s an exceedingly polite scent… picturing the clothing equivalent being Talbots for women and Brooks brothers for men. I don’t want more than my sample but I enjoyed trying it.

I tried the discovery set from Goldfield & Banks, and while I had some harsh things to say about a lot of what was contained in that set, I will say that Sunset Hour was one of the least annoying or outdated smelling of the line. Actually, it's kind of good. It's sort of a barbershop-esque fougere scent sans lavender, with a bit of sweetness. "Cashmere woods", Benzoin and Sandalwood. These are the base of many a men's fragrance. Pink Pepper? Also fairly prevalent in men's fragrances. Coconut...not sure I even smell any coconut in this. Mandarin and peach? Maybe not "masculine", but those are top notes and gone in 30 - 40 minutes. This is a sweet, creamy, soap-like scent with resinous woody tones and a dry down that can lean powdery.

It's like they said, love at first sniff. It's a very sweet, fun, summery scent, but nice enough to be worn whenever I want to feel warmer on these cooler spring days.

Very pleasant, beachy scent for summer. I definitely get peach and creamy coconut notes that settle into a well-balanced base of woods and vanilla. I had the exact same reaction to Silky Woods – very pleasant, agreeable scent but nothing to wow you or write home about. It doesn’t smell particularly original or unique. Lasts about 4 hours on my skin.

This is so good it makes my eyes roll back into my head with pleasure. It's also one of those scents that no one will ever be offended or complain about. People may or may not love it (hard to imagine) but they won't complain about it. It's smells the way modern ,mainstream noses think perfume should smell. I love my complicated perfumes, but it is nice to have one in the arsenal that is safe for wearing just about anywhere, and also pushes all the right buttons. for me.

Yes, this is a nice enough fruity fragrance; however, the $125 price for a 50ml is a bit of a stretch. You have smelled this unremarkable fragrance 100 times at Dillards/ Sephora/ Ulta. It is not niche; it is a safe, designer-style fragrance.

Blind buy LOVE. Wanted something juicy and fruity to help pull me away from my serious and dramatic Winter oud and Orientals since we're entering into lots of gray weather. Pre-purchased before samples were available based on the description and rating on Fragrantica, so glad I did. Lovely, juicy fruit opening with soft sandalwood giving it body, she's a fun friend with personality. Very reminiscent to a low brow and obscure, but reliable staple in my repertoire by Roberto Cavalli with the addition of ripe juice in the opening. Just exactly what I was looking for!!!

What a nice surprise! A combination of sweet, oriental spice and woods. I normally do not like pink pepper scents, but I do like this. On the dry-down, it's not beachy (I don't get any coconut)...but it does remind me of being in a beautiful open-air hotel lobby in Cabo next to the Sea of Cortez.
