Here's what other people are saying about Malik Al Taif...
ALD's Malik al Taif, as others have mentioned, is a picture-perfect rose, held right under your nose. Whether you know Taif Rose or not, this is a potent, "soapy" rose scent... It's SO good. Almost edible. It's not the "old lady rose" you worry about, but it's not far from it, either. That said, it's far better, & you can't stop sniffing yourself when wearing this. It is potent, it is excellent, & it lasts & lasts. This has plenty of "edge" for a guy who can pull off deep florals. I'm a 40yo guy not passing this up myself. A woman wearing this around me... I might be ring shopping pretty fast! :)

A powdery Oriental rose, this is another nice but unexceptional offering in the fourth batch of Areej Le Dores. The central Taif rose note is very beautiful and the high quality of natural ingredients is on full display in the perfume. The perfume opens with the central rose note. As it begins to settle, one can detect notes of musk and agarwood. It finally settles into. a powdery base of amber, benzoin and sandalwood with the central rose still taking center stage. Very much an ‘attar’ style perfume, the perfume is bright, radiant and cheerful. Moderate to strong sillage, unisex (slight feminine leaning) with good longevity. In my opinion, nothing new or exceptional, but still a beautiful high quality juice.

Malik al Taif's first sprays reveal a vibrant, three-dimensional Taif rose to your senses, as if it were right in front of you but you can't see it, with its tangy, ripe yet ethereal nuances, with no hint of anything synthetic whatsoever...this aroma is seamlessly followed with murmurs of Indian oud, its indolic, woody facets serving as a perfect anchor for the floating rose petals, lending depth. Soon, these notes are enveloped in a blurry, sweet cloud of benzoin and sandalwood as the scent warms on your body, with everything encapsulated by velvety, real musk absolute, a beautiful luxury, and your thoughts halt in meditative tranquility.

Russian Adam's Malik al Taif perfectly captures the three-dimensional aspect of real Taif roses...shimmering, vibrant, tangy and rarefied all at once, without a hint of anything synthetic whatsoever. This aspect of the fragrance blends seamlessly with the Indian oud, whose indolic, woody facets serve to deepen and enhance. As the fragrance dries down, the above notes still linger beautifully, and are joined within a velvety cloud of real musk, sweetly blurry resins and sandalwood. All notes are authentic and elegantly in sync, inspiring a state of meditative tranquility. This gentleman's talent is off the charts. Bravo! Highly, highly recommended.
