Here's what other people are saying about Rose Flash...
If there is a VERY polarizing rose out there, it has to be this one. Personally, I LOVE it. It is big, ripe, jammy sweets enveloping macerated rose petals, generously sprinkled with spices. This is in no way a classic, simple floral like Mazzolari Le Rose (also very good for what it is). This is a very loud, bordering obnoxious spicy and juicy rose. On my skin, this develops beautifully over time. The loudness tones down in about 30 minutes and it just turns into a delicious and attractive scent. I love it for fall/spring but would not wear this in the summer or in very hot humid climate as the ripeness can get cloying and almost smell a bit rotten. As much as I love it, I wouldn't recommend a blind buy on this one.

This on was waaaaaay too heavy for me...rose is overpowered....made my throat close up.

A big, jammy rose, both sweet and fresh. The underlying spiciness is what makes it stand out from the millions of other rose scents out there, and gives it a depth and richness which keeps it from being cloying. The initial spray might seem like a bit much, but the drydown comes quickly and is totally worth the price of admission. Lasting power is amazing, don't drench yourself in this. I've been stopped by strangers on two occasions and asked about this fragrance -- both times on escalators in airports. The nicest kind of endorsement.

This was an unexpected surprise. I am not a big rose fan, but this jammy, spicy rose won my heart. It's lovely, not too strong, but not a wispy sketch of a scent, either. Beautiful work by Andy Tauer!

I love it! And my husband loves it on me! I especially love how it settles and is gorgeous for hours and hours.

Not crazy about this one. It's so overpowering that even a single spritz is too much. There's a candy quality to it with a woody element that makes it interesting. But too heavy for me.

I actually had low expectations for this, based on my non-enjoyment of Vanilla Flash and my love/hate relationship with rose perfume. But I actually quite liked this! It's a strong (quite strong), fun, well-blended rose very suitable to both sexes. I prefer my rose a bit darker and juicier, but for more equal-opportunity rose fans, this one is a no-brainer, especially for the price. A little goes a long way.

Lovely, linear, rose-and-patchouli. I detect a little creamy sandalwood, as well as spiced apple cider. The rose is wet - but I wouldn't say jammy - and it has wonderful blackcurrant undertones. Smells like Tauer used synthetic rose chemicals to create his accord. And, while the perfume is very beautiful, the rose tends to lean towards "old lady" rather than sensual.

Like a lot of people probably did, I ordered this unsniffed. Wow! It is very intense jammy rose which just gets better and unfolds throughout the drydown. Apply sparingly, this one is potent! A rich, beautiful addition to the palmares of great Tauer roses.

This was not my favorite, which is surprising because I love anything with a patch base note. On me, it wasn't a very realistic rose. Also, initially it smelled kinda plasticy. Then a sort of menthol Carmex note came out and then dried down to a very fruity/jammy rose. I did put on the sweater I was wearing when I tried this on a few days later and I liked the residual scent a bit better, but it was still too jammy of a rose for me. It smells great on others though!

It's a bit risky buying a scent without knowing the notes, but since it was a Tauer scent and I'm a big fan, and given the price point and limited availability, I decided to buy it untested. This was probably a mistake for me. I am a huge rose fan, but oud and I don't get along. It makes me physically ill in even the smallest quantities. I've read all the reviews on this fragrance and none mentions oud, just vague references to "woody notes", so I keep telling myself I must be wrong about the oud even though my body is telling me I'm right. (I also detected oud in Tauer's Un Rose Vermeille, although it was not listed as a note there either.) I'd be interested to know if anyone else is picking up oud in this. I think rose and oud have great synergy and have been often used together, so it's not unthinkable for this scent to contain both. Either way it is as the description says "a beautifully constructed rose scent" which I think it deserves a high rating.

at first sniff its pure rose nothing else! i gave it second thoughts until i adjusted the application and thats all it took for me! it really does develop on the skin into something dark ,sweet, but not overly sweet for a man...it is unique and draws you to it each time you wear it . give it a try and a chance to work with your skin chemistry...also, a little goes a long way..

Full disclosure: I'm a Tauer fan in general. But Rose Flash is really special. It's both simple and deep. As a rose lover, it's immensely satisfying and just keeps coming. It's not loud, it's deep and generous. But it's surprisingly complex and I think that comes from the quality of the ingredients Andy is using - the naturals have a profile that has greater complexity than the stereotypical rose fragrance. My partner said, "Do I smell cigarettes? But it's better". I don't know about cigarettes, but I also pick up what I can only explain as shimmering green, purple, brown notes beneath this glorious rose. As soon as I smelled it, I ordered again to make sure I don't run out.

Out of the bottle it smells of fresh rose. Once applied it exudes sweetness along with the rose. The sweetness is quite bright and lasts the longest. At dry down it gives off spicy clove.

A gorgeous, intense rose in full bloom, eventually settles into a sweet, jammy rose confection. While it is sultry, there is nothing 'dark' about this scent - and it never stops being all about the rose. Someone who doesn't truly adore roses would probably be very unhappy with Rose Flash - but for rose initiates, it is a little drop of heaven!
