There’s a rumor going around that there’s a citrus top note in this fragrance, don’t believe it for a second. This opens with a bone-dry, papery iris with fennel and anise accompaniment that introduces itself like a mace before the opening of Parliament. Carrot seed, heliotrope, and a whisper of carnation fill out the middle section, while cedar, assorted musks and – somehow, after all that – a candy-sweet tooth of jasmine and milk take us to a lovely tonka-and-leather dry down. Unique and, especially for iris lovers, not to be missed.

Very interesting-- at first, I get grassy-peaty notes that remind me of a light Scotch Whisky. Ends up smelling like a wild meadow if I were to lie face down in it. Unique.
