Hi guys, today I'm wearing Relique d'Amour by Oriza Legrand. This is one of my favorite perfumes. I wear it all the time. It is an incense scent but it has these beautiful notes of white lilies, myrrh, there's wood notes.

To me, there isn't another perfume that transports you so specifically into a place and time. When I smell this, I think of walking into a stone cathedral, so I picture these wet, mossy stones, incense burning inside and then these cool, slightly sweet white lilies blooming and it's just this beautiful, calming effect. If you've never been into stone cathedral, I'm sure you can imagine it. I'm not thinking Los Angeles, something more exotic, Europe. It really just transports you into this place and time that is so unique and so specific.

I really like the dampness, the coolness of it, especially when it's hot out. So I would say I do wear this all year round and you can definitely do so. It works really well in the spring, summer months too because I've realized I like the feeling of this kind of cool and sweet lily and stone.

The lilies really come through on my skin, so I wouldn't call it a floral heavy scent but there's definitely this gentle floral note that really permeates through the incense. There's a touch of, I think of it as waxed wood and pews. There's this wood note. There's a mossy kind of green note maybe from the stone, like moss growing on the stones or the trees outside.

It's definitely pleasant. It's not going to punch someone in the face, but just beautiful and different and really special. So, Oriza Legrand's Relique d'Amour.

this is one of the best things i've ever smelled. a bouquet of lilies on a damp green gravestone surrounded by trees, with a hint of incense. i both love and hate that it doesn't last long at all. the ephemeral quality is an unexpected charm. i don't know when or if i will ever own this, as i'm searching for scent(s) that will carry me through the day or an evening. this would be something that i save for special moments and savor alone at home. plus the bottle is just so pretty, its so my vibe i'm in love

This scent is tragic. Legrand made the most beautiful perfume in the whole big world, but with the characteristics of water. This is because of the ingredients blah blah blah it wouldn't be the same scent if it was different, but it's still upsetting! If it had just any projection I would get a full bottle no questions asked, and then wear it until I die. It applies as a skin scent and then quickly becomes undetectable. I dabbed some below my nose to really be sure and still only got whiffs.Because ephemerality is inherent to its design, I would say this is more an art piece than a wearable frag one (me) invests in. 25 because it broke my heart at what could have been.. which is what the house was going for but oh do I wish it wasn't

It smells like Cupid fell into an abandoned church stuck yearning. He waits for salvation as moss from his tears fills the cold cement like a river of lily. The remnants of ash from his burned heart flutter in the air and act as the pepper. A garden in the back, with fresh carrots, mingles with incense lighting the ways its smoke a trail of his efforts. I do wish it lasted longer, since the only downside is a 1hr wear minimum.

Relique d'Amour is a truly magical scent, probably in my top 5 smells. It's a dark fragrance that wears light and airy. Smells of wet lily, incense and pine. It has cooling effect that can be worn year around and the bottle looks great on the shelf too.. However, there is BIG downfall, the scent doesn't have any strong base notes and dissipates completely within an hour and half on my skin. I spray my clothes, drench my body in lotion and oils trying to get it to stick, but nothing works. I understand not all fragrances are meant live forever, if you don't mind a short lived scent I think its worth the bottle.

Ezra at the DTLA Scent Bar helped me discover this masterpiece last month. It is the most gorgeous and mysterious incense perfume I've ever come across. I couldn't get my mind off of it, and when I wore a sample Ezra made me when I returned home, I was so haunted by its melancholy haunting scent that I had to purchase a full bottle from Luckyscent. The white lily is the perfect floral to sit beside its delicate incense, and I find myself thinking of a bittersweet misplaced moment that I'm unsure I'll ever recollect.

“…I’ve crossed oceans of time to find you.” How they bottled the smell of church surrounded by fog, I’ll never know, but if you want to smell like Gary Oldman’s Dracula or a woman running from a castle on the cover of a gothic romance book, this is the one for you.

Love it, but it works much better on me poured than sprayed and contrary to description the bottle only came with an atomizer. When sprayed, all I smell is the oakmoss! Lovely and three-dimensional when experienced in full.

I bought a sample based off the description and was very pleasantly surprised. This smells like nothing else in my collection and highlights the genius of this juice. I have since bought a bottle with very impressive packaging, will cherish this fragrance for a long time to come.

I wanted to smell like a church - not church incense but an entire church. The smell of stone and marble statues surrounded by lilies and beeswax candles burning, wooden pews and the pages of hymnals, a censer of incense was swung down the aisles and back into the sacristy. Relique d’Amour does this perfectly. It’s not overwhelming or too heady like other scents with similar descriptions. I do wish it lasted a bit longer as I’ve already finished my sample, but the only reasonable response to that was ordering a full bottle.

I received a sample of this and I must say that it smells gorgeous. I usually tend to steer away from Lily scents, as it can be overpowering in some fragrances. The Lily here is very soft and beautiful. I can also see how the “wet stone” and moss fits the description. Hope to purchase this soon.

This scent brings out my inner vampire. Smells like a burial ceremony with a service commencing in an ancient church. Think marble and stone statues, an outdoor courtyard with bramble vines, rosewood pews, and fresh stargazer lilies. It's as if the souls of the departed are captured in this fragrance. I get wet stone (NOT GEOSMIN), primordial earth, cedar and incense. I'm a huge incense lover. It took me a while to get this in my collection but I finally have it now. I can't be without it. I guess I'm a sucker for green incense smells. As a woman, I tend to lean more, "masculine" in my fragrances and this can go either way.

I hoped that wearing Relique D'Amour would re-create the experience of an evensong service at a college of Oxford University. While I could immediately detect "cold stone walls covered with damp moss," the wood and incense were nearly absent. Worst of all, the scent disappeared almost as soon as I applied it – like an ephemeral sprinkle of rain.

I was looking for a fragrance with an incense vibe to it, but not one that is so overpowering or filled with a smoke smell. This one did not disappoint, Complex with a wonderful smells in incense, but more complex.

Not gothic at all, not to my nose. It reminded me immediately of a perfume - was it perfumes isabell? Back in mid nineties, perfumer was a celebrity florist and the selling point was they would deliver within two days - irresistible to a perfume nut in the days before the internet. Anyways. One of them was called calla, and this is practically identical. The bright top note is goldenrod yellow, slightly powdery and almost puckers the back of your throat ( no lie I am getting Giorgio) and this keeps the lily from being too indolent or thick. Quality is lovely, smells very natural, somewhat springlike and youthful.

I was told to expect "wet stone," and tried not to think about that when I put it on. But I was really blown away by how fast I put this on and "WET STONE" flashed in my brain like neon. Smells exactly like that! It is pretty uncanny! There's a little bit of a mildew vibe going on that I *super* don't hate, and the pine note lingers the longest. My only complaint-- but a big, important one-- is WOW does this scent not want even remotely want to stay on my body. I put it on and it was pretty much instantly gone-- mere seconds, really. Musty, wet, outdoorsy smells are my favorite, so if this had any staying power, I'd seriously contemplate buying this. For now, I'll just use my sample every now and then and cross my fingers that it stays on.

I wanted to love this one since I am an Oriza L. Legrand devotee. I don't feel the need to reiterate other reviews found so matter-of-factly written and agreeable by me like the one directly below. I do wish I had picked up on that pine and gotten the incense, but since that didn't happen for me, I will finish my review on a positive note by underscoring my enthusiasm for the yellow pollen and waxed wooden floor effect. Relique is a diaphanous veil with delicate ribbon draped over a slab of cold tombstone. Very nice.

I am really enjoying trying the Oriza line - Chypre Mousse is still, by far, the most outstanding of those I've sampled - and I was so excited to try this one. The opening has all the Oriza trademarks with the pine and herbaceous notes, all cool and wet and bristly. Within 5 minutes, I get a very powdery floral, something more like jasmine than white lily, definitely a white floral with a liberal dusting of powder and here it stays. I sadly do not get a lot of incense and it is only as it is dying I get the woody notes but only slightly more prominent than a whispering white flower. The sillage is very small after the first 15 minutes and lasting power is pretty poor for an eau de parfum - if you had told me it was a cologne I would have believed it. I wanted more from this perfume - I wanted bolder incense, something resinous, smokey, stuffy, dusty, enveloping, something that would totally make me yield and Relique just did not deliver. However, I cannot fault the quality of the ingredients and the beauty of the range - nothing in the Oriza line is boring. Definitely for someone who wants something very quiet and reflective.

The Luckyscent description is excellent -- wet stone, beeswax, moss, wood, and a lily floral note gliding o'er all. It's extraordinarily well-built and has one of the most beautiful, dignified sillages of anything in my collection. I think I could alternate between this and Tauer's L'air du Desert Marocain for the rest of my life and be really quite happy.
