I LOVE this perfume. It's very complex and not too "perfumey." On my skin, I smell a lot of pine and tonka, but it's a little more complex and spicy. It's a very unisex fragrance and the notes are well blended.

This is my jam for a chill Fall or Winter time affair, it's so special and magical. I appreciate all the liturgical references, as they are well deserved. There is definitely a religious aspect when scenting oneself with this mega scent, I feel like a holy empress of some sort, ha!

I'm currently wearing this sample and y'all this is some rich lady incense. there's a creaminess in there that's super romantic and keeps it from skewing too far into headshop vibes (and I love my headshop vibe-y scents). so good.

Enjoyable powdery incense curling around a slightly metallic leather. It’s not the most unusual interpretation of leather on my shelf, but I’d feel quite confident recommending this to someone -- maybe a masc someone? -- looking for a wearable interpretation with character but nothing too craggy or strange.

Immediately knew this was one for me. It does have a church-y vibe to it, but with the very present woods and the incense being so soft, it puts me more in mind of an ancient druidic ceremony than a catholic church. This is all romance and magic. Definitely will be purchasing this, and looking at more from this house.

This one is dreamy! A very soft incense: catholic church with human qualities... I don't get all the notes because it's so well blended and never sharp, it almost smells like skin to me. Totally full bottle worthy. Mesmerizing...

Who am I kidding here?? FIVE GLITTERY STARS!! I am adding Reve D'Ossian to my next order of fragrant goodies. :) I surrender to the uniquely antiquated magic and mystery of Oriza L. Legrand. This will be my third one, preceded by Chypre Mousse and my first Legrand love, Violettes Du Czar. I can't rave enough about my favorite niche house.

While not my favorite Legrand (that title belongs to Violettes du Czar), it does have that grand entrance of an antique medicinal tincture quality, so much beloved by me, which characterizes the house and sets it apart from all others. Sadly, I did not get that haunting from the savory dessert, Chypre Mousse (mint & sage mushroom mousse). I do enjoy the frankincense in Reve followed by the cinnamon note that shows up very prominently on me. This house is a true testament to the art of fragrance.

I wanted to love this one. It came out of the sample bottle as something nearly perfect for me. All the notes are exactly what I love, except for musk. But because of the quality and care this house uses in its works I thought I could deal with the musk. Unfortunately, I can't. The fragrance is SO beautiful... When I sort of wave my hand past my nose I'm enthralled with it. But if I put my nose right on my hand where the perfume sits, the musk comes out loud and strong and I can't stand it. Am VERY sad...

This is a beautiful incense scent, soft and well-blended. It is uplifting and very easy to wear - unlike some incense scents with sharp frankincense notes sticking out, this one is smooth and lovely. A great addition to my incense scent repertoire.

I wanted to love this. It had many listed notes that I thought could make for a romantic interesting composition but this one wasn't for me. It smells like sage that's turned a bit brown, old books (a scent I would usually like), a hint of absinthe, a lot of powder (which some people like but not for me) wet leather and vasaline. Note- this is all with my skin chemistry. It was sophisticated and balanced but just smelled supremely un-modern for me.
