So, this is what I have been wearing lately. It's the new 2017 release from Eight and Bob called Champs de Provence. And unlike a few of the others in their line that are more classic gentleman style, I think this is an excellent unisex scent. It's a juicy, fruity floral with a green, fresh, but subtly sultry base.

It opens with bergamot orange that's sweetened with a touch of pear. And then it has a jasmine orange blossom heart. There's a little rose in there too, but it's extremely subtle. Just a whisper, kind of keeping it dry and fresh and green. And then the base is a beautiful combination of a bitter mate tea and soft, fuzzy musk notes and an ambroxan. And it's beautiful.

For me, I think this is an ideal transitional scent. Whether you're transitioning from spring into summer or afternoon into evening. When I first spray it, it's bright and sunshiny and juicy and refreshing. Like a spring afternoon. But then, as it sits on my skin, it turns into a pretty flirty, fun skin scent.

This is definitely one that I get compliments on all night long, and I'm looking forward to wearing it as it goes from Los Angeles winter into Los Angeles spring. Not that drastic of a change.

Yeah, give it a try. I think you'll like it. I think you'll like it.

This has a nice punch of citrus but on me it's otherwise just an ambrox bomb. Reminds me of escentric molecules, e01 or 02. Loved the concept but I gotta pass on this.

This scent is pretty much perfect. The video review does a much better job of explaining it than I can, but it's fresh and floral, but not cloying, and the musk gives it something special. In my opinion it's very feminine, and I have a hard time imagining it on a man, but I'm sure it would smell amazing on anyone. It's the very adult version of all of my favorite scents growing up.

That opening note is presumably what heaven would smell like on laundry day -- orange-blossom clean, with beautiful citrus sparkle and a lush pear glow. It’s truly something special...and they could have just moved from there right along to ambroxan and the dryness of mate, without that pass through a sharpish jasmine-musk detour. However, take my stars with a grain of salt if you're a bit more indole-tolerant than I was on test day, or are a gentleman seeking a masculine path through the heart to the drydown. It’s well-done, just not for me.
