Here's what other people are saying about Le Petit Chocolatier...
I LOVE "Noir Intense", the best chocolate fragrance ever: not boozy, not coffee-ish, not milky, not pungent, not woodsy, not gooey sweet; just plain, delicious, make-you-smile chocolate. I don't really get any of the other notes listed, but that's precisely the magic of this fragrance: it smells of just chocolate, even though it's the combination with all the other notes that keeps it from being bitter, pungent, overpowering, or otherwise unpleasant, as chocolate on its own (or in so many other fragrances) tends to be. This is the perfect "plain", "true" chocolate. And mind you, this is neither "noir" (dark) nor "intense", so I feel the name is a misnomer, but no matter, it's a poetic image for what is the PERFECT chocolate.

In turn: I -- Your Mother’s Day gift box in one bottle -- fruit, flowers, chocolate. It’s downright giddy at the top, with tangerine and peach opening big and bright; the chocolate note in this case calms the chatter down and sets the scent on a path to a light, friendly drydown. II -- Well-executed coconut-caramel variation on the chocolate theme -- a really decadent Mounds bar. Drydown had an intermittent sharpness/pong that didn’t quite work for me (funky vanilla?), but overall pleasant. Best of the trio. III -- Relatively abstract, this is a sharpish chocolate in a woodier vein, farthest from gourmand of the three and dialing up both the deep-roast factor and that pong that caught my attention in the second part of the series. Eh.

I am seriously hooked on all three trio sets! This set plus the Bon Bon and Rose Incantel. They are close cousins yet each distinctly original combinations. I love, love love, all three sets! They are soooo long lasting on me. Perfect for Lolita gals of any age! Extremely girly confections!!!

I just got this delightful set! I love to layer them but they stand alone just fine in their own light. They aren't overwhelming but soft and sweet.

I love sweet gourmand notes and have been searching for a chocolate fragrance to call my own for years. Unfortunately, these felt boring and "cheap" to me...certainly not what I expected from the brand. I understand they are meant to be layered with one another, but they are just too sheer and simplistic to be able to create any depth. Also, all three of them seemed to have a synthetic "freshness" about them. Could be the vanilla note that was used? It kind of reminded me of a teeny-bopper vanilla musk deodorant I once sniffed out of curiosity!

I've always gravitated toward vanilla scents, but this is the first time I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try something chocolate. I ordered the three samples and was a bit of a skeptic, but LET ME SAY....I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO STOP SMELLING THEM SINCE I GOT THEM!!!!. I am absolutely in love with this set! My favorite is confiture. I love the initial fruity smell upon applying it. Unfortunately it doesn't dry down quite the same. I also love Noir's so yummy and warm! I can't wait to get my hands on the whole set!
