Here's what other people are saying about Amoureuse...
This is a nice fragrance, somewhat elegant. My problem is that I became addicted to Good Girl Gone Bad and I compare everything to that. So far, no other fragrance gets that kind of reaction from me. I would like to find another scent for every day wear as Kilian is expensive. However, I am so currently in love with GGGB that I''d like to crawl inside the bottle and live there.Amoueuse really is nice, but I would not buy a bottle of it.

I''m getting married to the love of my life December 1st and I have chosen Amoureuse to wear on that special day....need I say more!

I got very surprised and disapointed by this perfume. First I tought they made a mistake with the sample. They sent me a sample of medical stuff by mistake....well the first notes are really sick and in a bad way. It gets a little better with heart notes (very tuberose jasmin) and finally with de drydown, that becomes tuberose honeyed. But still, it''s not a winner for me. I don''t like it and I don''t understand why it''s called "Amoureuse". There is nothing to be in love with in this perfume. It smells like a bottle in an experimental laboratory, not a perfume.

I don''t get any fruit or any florals. I just get a stale, musty smell.

I''m not even a fan of florals, but next to Serge Luten''s Une Lys, Amoureuse is my favorite floral perfume!

This is a delightful blend of honey, sandalwood and spices. Too much for summer, but I can see this being so comforting in winter. Recommended for people who enjoy rich and warm scents.

This is so very womanly and delicious and exciting. It makes me feel like I''ve been casted in some artsy film role as a nude model covered in honey. Very classy and also very unusual. Not an everyday fragrance--I have to be in the mood to wear this, as it has an extremely voluptuous and demanding personality. I will be getting this in the future.

This is likable .... the first note I get is that of greenery moss then a delightful blend of the listed florals.

Gorgeous. All the warmth of sun on boxwoods yet surprising, I wouldn''t call it "green". It''s deep and full and can hold it''s own in mid-winter, letting the wearer carry summer warmth around her. A favorite.

Adore it and wear it every day. It''s more of a slightly spicycitrus floral on me, and I don''t find it strong--I don''t care for strong scents, so i wouldn''t wear it if it were. Elegant with a restrained hint of sensuality.

Love it, love it, love it! The only drawback is that it is strong very, very strong. It would take me three lifetimes to use a bottle. I truly wish I could buy a tiny bottle. This is devestatingly beautiful, sensuous stuff but I could never use a bottle this size. too bad, it is gorgeous.

So lovely. It lasts, the notes are all detectable and enoyable. It is unusual, but not weird. I love it.

I thought it smelled lovely and decadent, and terribly sophisticated out of the bottle. But not for me, as I was overwhelmed with the floral scent. I could see a cougar wearing this. Here''s to you, Mrs. Robinson!

Smelled like a spicy, harsch mess on me, needed to scrub this off me as fast as it went on. I do not smell any flowers at all. Yuck. On the otherhand i love the Bois de Paradise.

I picked this out of all the fragrances I own ( and I own ALOT of them) to wear on my wedding day ....need I say more.

Amoureuse is incredible. It is radiant upon application, and it''s sultry, and extremely sensual as it develops. If you are a fan of Annick Goutal Heure Exquise or Vivienne Westwood Boudoir, you must try Amoureuse, which I think is a sort-of "sister scent" to these two. Amoureuse is a powerful, slightly sweet, very, very sexy fragrance, but it smells "expensive", elegant, and sublime. Lasting power is fabulous. I have a feeling this is going to be one of my all-time favorite fragrances!

This has a vintage quality. Also the spice and wood are very strong on me, quite strange and unpleasant. I don''t get much of the floral.
By   - from England on 8/28/2008
Beautiful, with the sexiest, longest-lasting drydown! The LuckyScent description is spot on. The key to loving this scent is to apply very, very lightly--this is powerful stuff! (I take one dab and split it into each wrist--I can''t imagine actually spraying this!)

Amoureuse smells quite like the Gardenia perfume of the Crabtree & Evelyn eau de toilette collection.Personally, I don''t like it. This smell is something women of graced age would wear, such as Brooke Astor. I always felt perfume of a certain caliber should only be worn age-appropriately.

Because I love both Bois de Paradis and Eau Illuminee, I wanted to love this, I did -- but I can''t. It is so indolic that it immediately gave me a headache that wouldn''t quit. It smells expensive and jasminey but it is so over the top that I couldn''t stand it. I got no tangerine or cardamon, just tuberose and jasmine. It lasts and lasts and lasts. My sample is going into perfume purgatory along with the Bruno Campori Jasmine and the L''Artisan Fou d''Absinthe (which takes the cake). Sorry. Try before you buy, YMMV

Very sophisticated, very grown-up and VERY sexy. Yes, there is something very Audrey Hepburn-ish about this lovely scent. It is more of a floral on me ~ the other notes mentioned? Not so much. Staying power? 12 hours and counting! Hmm.......quite lovely indeed.

A stunning fragrance! Luckyscent''s writeup is entirely accurate.
By   - Retired Programmer from Colujmbus on 3/13/2008
Starts out heady with florals and, to my nose, just a touch of citrus. Ahhhh, but the drydown! Softens into a langourous, voluptuous honey-and-skin scent that is remarkable sexy. This baby may well make you feel "amoureuse"!
By   - from DC on 1/18/2008
This is a stand alone fragrance in a class all by itself! Unlike its sister fragrance Bois de Paradis (which I think Smells alot like POTL) which is lovely Amoureuse is Deep, I mean Sex in a bottle Deep, take the best night of romance you have ever had and pour warm honey all over it and you have Amoureuse. I can see this having a Cult Following!

If there is to be an ultimate floral fragrance this may just be it. It is not precious, or prissy, but very, very feminine. I think Audrey Hepburn in her beautiful gown in ''Sabrina'' would wear this fragrance. It''s innocent and sophisticated at the same time. While I prefer more woods in my own fragrances, this may be the perfect floral if that is what you are after.

Correcting my review, I meant that the cardamom was detectable, not ginger. THere is no ginger in this scent, but there IS ginger lily--whole different aroma.
By   - from Michigan on 8/9/2007
This is a lovely, complex scent. A little too soft and flowery for me, although the ginger is detectable. It dries down a bit powdery, which is a dealbreaker in my book, but those who like that kind of scent should definitely give this a try.

If I could stop moaning ecstatically about this perfume (just tried on the sample) I could write that this is possibly the most exquisite perfume I have ever worn...seductive, ladylike, charming, snuggly yet sexy as anything. Will be certainly buying the full size soon.

Looove it!

truly gorgeous and sophisticated I can''t stop sniffing. A wonderful evening out scent - very special
By   - from Brooklyn NY on 7/7/2007
It reminds me of a French red velvet and gold edged gown from the 1800''s cut in a modern and chic silhouette for today. I''d wear it only in the evening when temperatures are cooler. I get good responses when I wear it but it''s an occasional fragrance not to be worn for everyday.

An expensive copy of Vivienne Westwood''s Boudoir

This is truly a fragrance for women, not girls. It is incredibly sophisticated and beautiful - you have to try it!
