It’s light and lemony. A bit like a lemon cookie? I don’t get any sandalwood.

A must try for all you sandalwood fans out there. For the Tam Dao lovers—this one is simpler but does not smell 'more synthetic' to me, fwiw, so give it a try. Less playdoh/vanilla, more….sandalwood. It's understated and straightforward while still feeling elegant. And agree, MUCH less 'elusive' than M01, or M02, maybe a bit stronger than M03 even and much less synth-y.

I've recently started dabbling with the MOLECULE line. 01 and 02 are a bit elusive. They're there, but you only catch whiffs of them periodically. MOLECULE 04 is really present for me and it's awesome. A rich, potent sandalwood like scent that is tenacious. A big thumbs up for this one. Very unisex and a great scent. Good for layering or stand alone.

This perfume really caught me by surprise. It took a long time to try it because I assumed it's all totally synthetic, so it scared me a bit. I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's so nice! At first it smelled like something bright and tangy, like lemon, with a weird ethereal sandalwood. Some spice to it, like black pepper and maybe even ginger. Then flowers. Definitely rose and possibly something more fresh like peony or something? After that it becomes more humid and even tropical, more sandalwood focused. For synthetic sandalwood, I love this, to be honest. I used two sprays from a sample vial, and it's been going strong in a ghostly way for several hours.

This smells amazing. Beautiful. Light. Floral. Fresh. Creamy. Definitely a skin scent, very intimate.

Oh how I wish this had unveiled itself on the skin as described in the "tasting notes" above. Sadly this brought back memories of passing a boys high school locker room moments after they'd doused themselves in axe/lynx body spray. For me this lacked an anchor or any semblance of finesse, not that this is what Escentric Molecules are exactly known for. I'd hoped for a partner in crime for Molecule 2, which remains my unchanged favourite in this stable of fragrances.
