Here's what other people are saying about L'ame Soeur...
This stunner is such a simple array of notes that I’m amazed every time I use it. Gorgeous...and hardly “old lady.” You have to be mature enough to understand the beauty of it. Exceptional and excellent underrated.

I originally put this sample in the "probably not" pile even though I really love all the notes in L'ame Soeur. I decided to try it again yesterday. Imagine my surprise when it smelled mainly of hyacinths, in the vial and on my skin. I wondered if I was crazy (more so than usual that is) but several others agreed with me. L'ame Soeur lifts my spirits! Wonderful!

This is how I remember No. 5 smelling when my mother wore it. Very sharp upon application, then warm and animalic. No. 5 today is bland, bland, bland. Thankfully Divine is producing beautiful classical fragrances that aren't a compromise or boring. Love it, love Divine, love l'enfant, love Eau Divine. Truly terrific, quality house of impeccable taste and execution!

It reminds me more of Lanvin's Arpege than Chanel #s 5 or 22, but all three of those are florals with a fairly heavy emphasis on the aldehydes, and so is this. If you like this you should really check out Arpege - you can get the same amount (50 ml) for a quarter of the price.

Love, love, love this fragrance. I just discovered this one last week at the Scent Bar and it haunted me all weekend. I ended up ordering it on Monday. This one has definitely made it onto my top 5 list of favorite perfumes.

Glad I bought the sample first. L'ame Soeur was just too girly for me - almost astringent and sharp at first and drying down to a very powdering finish that thankfully didn't last long. I felt like I had borrowed my kid sister's perfume, but I don't have a kid sister. Disappointing after loving Divine, but one of the girls at work likes the sample of L'ame Soeur.

Remindes of a deoderent spray that was made for an older women.

I love this, it's so bright and effervescent. Some other reviewers have said this is a less mature scent than Divine, which I thought was an agressively grown up fragrance. I find this still to be an incredibly sophisticated scent for special occasions, it's very refined and intimidatingly well crafted. Smells EXPENSIVE, girls. You have to love rose to get into this one I think, and it's a sharp, clear rose, too. Clean, pretty, sparkling. You can definitely smell the aldehydes in this one too, but it doesn't take away from the drydown which is very subtle and clean. This one is so elegant. Worth trying.

Admittedly younger and fruitier than Divine(my favorite) but imbalanced and Quite headache-inducing!!!

It's a nice fragrance... a little strong in the beginning, but the dry down is warm and sensual. It's also a little powdery, and like the other reviewer mentioned, reminds me of chanel 5. Would be great for special occasions...

Beautiful white flowers/aldehyde composition with a warm drydown. In a way reminds me of Chanel 22, but I like this better. My second fave from the line after Divine.

This isn't quite as exotic as I'd hoped. To me the powdery-ness overpowers the floral notes, and it just smells old-fashioned and musty. A bit cloying. Don't hate it, but I won't wear it again (glad I got a sample first!)

the top notes of this smell almost identical to chanel 5. nonetheless, it still has a very pleasant smell and the dry down is more powdery and floral. not bad.

L'ame soeur is a stunner of a scent. If you are on the look out for a real surprise - and you know what I am talking about as lover of perfume - then this is it. It is elegant, warm and at the same time a 'feel good' scent. It is your soul and my soul that is our soul. One of the best, oppulant creations that I have come across in years. An art and a way of looking at scent that I thought would not exist any more. A nice surprise that has just right hit me.

great base note on skin, warm and sexy, rich and decadent after a signature aldehydic top and an elegant classical rose jasmine floralcy

This started off as musky on me, but upon drydown it turned soft and powdery, which was much nicer. A pretty, delicate scent.

I ordered the sample because I was intrigued by the jasmine, ylang-ylang and the rose... It's nice, it's more on the rose-y smell. It reminds me of Florascent's Rose. If you roses, you will like this...
