I'm looking for a good fresh scent, but this wasn’t exactly what I’m striving for. It smells more like very clean soap you’d get at a fancy hotel. Not disappointed at all, but not for me :) I also don’t get any hints of lychee like others are comparing it to. Nonetheless, it’s very strong.

The hills are alive with Marseille soap! I find myself falling more and more in love with this scent with each wear. It takes me back to old world France, a place I can only dream of until I put on CDG Marseille!

Very nice clean smell, it does have a fresh bar of soap smell to me. I paired it with Molecule 01 a few times just to see if I could get a different smell out of it...it pretty much smelled the same with Molecule 01 on top...they did not transform into some unique awesome smell like I hoped. Overall, it's a pleasant scent and I enjoyed catching whiffs of myself throughout the day, but I never got any compliments on it. I bought blindly based on reviews and was satisfied with my purchase, but it just wasn't "my scent."

Really love this at first: clean and soap-like. But after a while it reminds me of the Aqua Velva of my (great)grandparents' generation — powdery musk. And I don't want to smell of common (cheap) aftershave, even if the scent is good. So sad about this.

I wanted to try this for months and finally got a sample. Disappointed. Huge cdg fan but not for me. Its not bad, I recommend if you like it, personally, not my thing. Reminds me of rosae mundi. Something about it reminds me of industrial cleaning products. Theres a note in this that I just do not like. Oh well, really enjoy sunscreen. But now want to try zero. Also, if you were disappointed by this also, try serpentine by cdg! Thats my cdg clean scent jam!

Beautiful Musky & Soapy Floral fragrance! Definitely worth testing if you are intrigued. I Gave the scent five Stars the price however is a bit steep for this fragrance, I still quite enjoy it.

This scent continues to amaze and marvel me. It lays low on the skin but it never leaves the atmosphere. It's full-bodied and yet under the radar. It may be my favorite release from last year. The mineralogy and saline-quality is fully present and in a most pleasant way--it's a scent that entices and engages you as the day goes on. I feel I need two back-up bottles just in case. A winner, a true winner.

Did not like-- starts out soapy with a metallic edge, then gets powdery, then an unpleasant white musk note comes out and lasts.

I spent four months living in Marseilles ages ago. I ordered this sample and forgot what the name was. So I opened it, applied it, and my first thought was, "This reminds me of Marseilles!" And then looked at the label and had to laugh. They got the scent exactly right! Once I run out of the sample, I'll have to buy the bottle. Just in case I never go back, at least I'll have this memory.
