Here's what other people are saying about Reve en Cuir...
Maybe it's just not my thing, but the first thing I get when I put this on--is potpourri, which I hate.

One word: Masterpiece. The leather and spice accords are out of this world. The easiest try and buy decision you will ever make.

Why oh why oh why did I get this sample?!?!?! I had just finished b-ching about Chanel raising prices on my signature Cuir de Russie yet again, virtually slamming the door on them, and - wouldn't you know it - found my signature in the significantly more expensive Reve en Cuir. And yet I cannot resist. I am sniffing myself as I write this and it is entirely possible I will hump myself any moment now. It's already added to my shopping cart. I'm just checking my ramen noodle supplies because that's likely what I'll be eating through mid-October. Sure, I'll be twice the size in a month, but that just means I'll have more space to spritz on. I. MUST. HAVE. THIS. I. MUST. HAVE. THIS. I. MUST. HAVE. THIS!!!

This is a sexy beast. And makes me feel like one too.

The cashmere-lined three-button glove of leather fragrances -- soft, softer, softest, with that clove-cardamon note up top making it surprisingly gourmand. (Please do not eat the cashmere-lined three-button gloves.) Down the road it's still elegantly soft, with the cedar-smoke and vanilla coming to the forefront, and it exits with a simple, clean "warm" note. Don't miss this one.

I'm going to be completely honest with you, this thing almost got me laid on public transportation by a complete stranger(she was a 10). BOTTLE WORTHY!!

My new favorite among far too many scents. Delightful, warm, and just the right sillage for both my partner & I. On me, it had about 8-10 hrs staying power. Not musky, so I have trouble understanding the perceptions of "way too subtle" or "a poorly done wan thing."

Way too subtle with too much powdery vanilla and not enough suede leather. Nice polish but missing heart.

To the lady who wanted advice . The reason you can't smell this my dear, is because there is nothing to smell. This seems to me to be a definite case of " The emperors new clothes" This is very over-priced hype, for a rather poorly done wan little thing.

I'm hoping for advice with this review. Reve en Cuir is, without a doubt, a beautiful scent; however, I can bearly smell it (even spraying huge amounts). I purchased an FB and need to be able to wear it. Can anyone offer assistance about why I cannot smell it? Please...

Amazing! I almost shied away from trying this sample because Reve en Cuir is at the masculine end of the spectrum. Once I sniffed, though, I just had to put it on. I think it is much more unisex than masculine, with a leathery, spicy scent moderated by patchouli and just a hint of vanilla. Like all of the Indult scents, it has incredible lasting power and just the right amount of sillage to be noticed without being overpowering. My husband has already instructed me to purchase Isvaraya and Manakara, no matter the price. I think he'll be adding Reve en Cuir to the order. Tihota, the other Indult scent, is a nice vanilla, just not for me. I highly recommend sampling the entire line.

Rêve en Cuir is stunning. To smell it is the equivalent of perusing the leather-bound, spices-filled cupboard of a James Beard award-winning chef. It's sexy and assured meets cozy and delectable. I'm enamored with it!

Reminds me of walking through a Bolivian chicken coop at sunrise with the sound of Monks breaking wind in the distance. Entrancing, hypnotic, and Priceless!

At first I was put off by the powdery intensity, but there is some spicy leather under it for sure. Smells like the inside of a well traveled older womans Coach bag. Muskym dry, sexy, a little vanilla to round it out. Potent.

I would agree with an earlier comment that this is not a "leather" scent. However, it is to my mind, truly a scent for both sexes. It's husky and musky (?) enough to be tremendously appealing on a man, while at the same time floral and sweet enough for a woman. I'm a woman who dislikes "sweet" scents per se, and vanilla in particular, but I am absolutely obsessed with Reve en Cuir. I've only bought three bottles of perfume in my lifetime and this will be my fourth.

I would respectfully disagree that this is a "leather" scent. It smells like warm gin with a cinnimon stick in it. Sort of a xmas spice thing. The two best leather scents at LS are Oud Cuir d’Arabie (Montale) and Cuir d'Iris (PG). THOSE are leather. Sample this first. Enjoy

I just got my sample, and this is absolutely divine!! Somewhat spicy, yet a hint of vanilla. Smells so wonderful, yet pricey.
By   - Hospital Receptionist from Modesto on 1/13/2009
This is wonderful - but why so expensive??? ReC is a softly spiced leather, rounded off by a smooth vanillic note, which makes this quite wearable for women, too. Verrry, very nice, but also hopelessly overpriced...

Wow--who knew a leather scent could be like THIS? Although it leans towards masculine, I encourage women that shy away from sweets and florals and fruits to dive right it-- it will delight the senses. Sexy is the simplest way to describe it. Hey boys at luckyscent-- congrats on a winner!!
