Vietnamese Coffee

I was expecting a lot from this one and MAN, on me it is SHARP. My skin chemistry sucks the sweetnessdelicate notes out of every fragrance and amplifies the harsher notes, and the cedar wood and amber were BARKING at me! Especially the amber, oh my goodness.I didn’t smell the coffee note at first so I applied a ton and MAN. The roast on the coffee note has to be the darkest on earth. It jumps out at you and attacks your nose in waves. I know Vietnamese coffee is known to be dark so keep that in mind—it does not smell like the chocolatey medium roast coffee that speciality baristas love! The fragrance is intense and I couldn’t smell the condensed milk between all the amber even after letting it dry down. Definitely a statement fragrance.

I love a coffee perfume that actually smells like coffee. At first spray, this smells like coffee with white florals, but as it dries, the coffee remains and the milk comes through strong. Overall, very lactonic, powdery and caffeinated. When the coffee fades, the milk remains and the dark chocolate note emerges — bitter and cocoa-y to balance the sweetness of the condensed milk. The lily of the valley appears about halfway through the wear and is rather subtle. After a while, you're left with a woody and sweet scent from the tonka, amber, and cedar notes that is refreshing and intimate. This is like a perfect mix between Coffee Addict and Milk (expressive). You may not like it if you don't like lactonic fragrances, but this is a 10/10 for me.

Creamy, rich coffee beans with hints of amber and a very slight bitterness. If you like smelling like coffee, this is it, amazing!

Montale's Chocolate Greedy was my signature fragrance for the last 13 years. I'd grown weary. I discovered Vietnamese Coffee in the boutique on Beverly and took a sample home. But it's the heart notes of dark chocolate and condensed milk that really set this one apart, inviting a smooth, creamy sweetness that harmonizes perfectly with the bitterness, just like the traditional Vietnamese coffee I love. This is now my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE coffee scent!

This is a beautiful coffee. I don't like gourmands and this is not sweet, like so many that have recently appeared. I ordered the sample set and as soon as I tested this one, I ordered the full bottle. It is light and airy where many coffee frags go bold with a lot of projection. I wear Pekji Ruh and Awake by Akro and this is a coffee with just touch of the condensed milk that can be worn year round.
